We had booked 12 nights in october ´17 but after two nights we had to leave. The water smelled very bad and the overall condition of the place was worn-down. We had a bunk bed for our kids but no guard to prevent them from falling out of the bed. The host at the place was nice, but he couldn't make up for the stink that ruined everything for us. Furthermore they were builind a big new hotel RIGHT next to the place, so we had to listen to noise from constructioning from 7 am. We checked into another hotel on the island and it completely changed our vacation for the better. So please just don't stay at Air Dhiffushi.

Don't stay there

When we arrived at the dock of the island, we expected that some guest house member would be there waiting for us, as all accommodations in the Maldives do, but to our surprise, there was no one... We were accompanied by a staff member from another hotel and on arrival there, no one was taking charge of the guest house. The lord called the guest house manager endless times but without success. When we found another hotel where we stayed, a guy from the guest house apologized and said that they had not received the reservation. We made it through booking as usual. I can't appreciate how the guest house is inside because we weren't staying there but it was a bad experience to arrive and not have stayed. We spent time where we needed waiting for a response and then looking for another hotel. However, the guest house has a recommendation to stay inside.

As a result, there is no receiver for our reservation.

Had a terrible experience with the Danish staff who kept making promises they would not keep. We were a family of five on vacation in 2017. Info level was really bad too, and they told us one evening to leave our room the next morning, because they had made double bookings (they have four rooms in total, so it should be possible to keep up to date with your guesthouse one should think). It was not an easy job with three kids - especially because the substitution room on the other hotel was a double room. Next day we met another Danish family who got treated the same way. It looks and seems very nice, but ended terribly. Cannot recommend in any way - it seems like they dont really care about you as soon as you have paid them.

Really hopeless - will never come back

I stayed here with 9 other people so all four rooms were occupied and we stayed three nights; the interior incorporates wood seamlessly while also focusing on comfort, with hammocks almost everywhere (even in the outdoor toilet area). Our host, Koke, and our guide, Bamboo, were friendly and helpful - explaining to us about the local life and also giving us a tour around the island with background information, and always answering every question we had with a smile; they also arranged every activity we desired and even went to buy us ice-cream when we were too lazy to walk! The food, prepared by Koke's sister-in-law, was exceptional: fresh and local - we were always eating AT LEAST two servings and especially loved the roshi, tuna, and local veggies; we even leaned how to make roshi from his sister-in-law. Anyway, before I drone on, I deff recommend this place!

Everything and more!

We stayed at the guesthouse for four nights. The guesthouse was small, with only four rooms, but that made the stay more cozy. The rooms and backyard was nice, and short way to the beach. The food at the questhouse was good, especially the dinners.
