When we arrive at Tioman there are no vacancies as it is a holiday. We look around and find Babura Seaview Resort . There is a vacant room here, with air conditioning, bathroom and wifi for 150 RM. A bit expensive. But there appears a Malay and we take a triple room with him for 100 RM. Unfortunately, the standard is much lower, the room and the furniture old and worn out, it stinks of mustiness and rot.
The location is excellent as the hotel is on the beach.

If you are looking for room/chalet near to beach,,this resort can give you the best.only 10m from beach with most facilities nearby. safe for children too.
staff are friendly too.you can request the reception to arrange snorkeling trip or hire small boat for island hopping too  with reasonable price

nice and budget

Me and my wife visited this place first week of September ( Weekdays ). The room was quite okay for the first day. We had dinner there. We waited for the Tomyam (small bowl ) for 1hour 5minutes. Finally the Tom Yam arrived. It worst the worst ever Tom Yam ( Tom paste mixed with hot water) that's how it tasted! and so many customers was grumbling about the slow service and the taste. And cats running around the restaurant. We told the owner and the workers they were not bothered at all! WTF right! why the hack need to rare cats in the shop for god sake! its no no no cooool! yucks!!!! the next day from morning till we check-out around 12 pm no water at all and the no one was bothered to acknowledge about this. There are better and cheaper chalet nearby. Please dont ever go here please. Waste of time and money! Most importantly this place  NOT HYGENIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very Bad Experience

It was a disappointing experience!! I had booked the room a month in advance to arrive the same day and the manager told us that the reservation was not taken into account...So they apologize etc. But the result is worse: there are only 190 ringitts of rooms left. In short, we understand that this is a strategy to sell their more expensive rooms. We refuse and wait explaining that it is their fault and we do not have to pay more. She gives up to leave us a room with a toilet outside.

awful stay

Stayed 2 nights here. The twin sharing Room is decent with air-cond and hot shower. Basic stuffs are provided such as towel and soap. The location is not too far from the jetty and there is duty free shop less than 5 mins. The restaurant food is good and not too pricey

Decent accomodation

Very basic accommodation with a restaurant within the compound which faces the sea. A nice place to chill out after a full day of diving. This place is affiliated to Tioman Reef Divers which is under the NAUI school. Next door is Swiss Cottage Resort which is affiliated to Tioman Dive Centre which is under the PADI school. So its really convenient whichever school you decide to enroll in.

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel in Tekek, on the island of Pulau Tioman. When you arrive from the ferry you take the left and it is the last hotel before the SwissCottage. The manager is very kind. The first prices are summarised. Ventilator, small and just before the beach. For our stay we have chosen the sea-facing rooms(air-conditioned, small balcony, large glass bay the small plus, a very comfortable bed, a comfortable bathroom, a small refrigerator and the rooms are made every day) An impressive sea view and a lovely layer. The food is classic. The possibility of choosing dishes. There is also a BBQ. But you will not eat from the sunny area of the hotel. We also have a place that looks very far from the sun and the jungle.

It's a nice place

I spent 4 days there during the month of September 2014 after discovering it by default since the hotel we wanted was complete. The rooms are affordable for the available infrastructure. On the other hand. There were lizards on the walls but this seems to be common on these islands. Breakfast is basic in that there was only bread, tea, coffee and pasta. However, it is possible to get a few other things on demand and at a certain price. The hotel staff are in the friendly hotel and offer the opportunity to try their laundry on it which is convenient. The hotel is really close enough to the hotel to the laundry room which is very clean. But it also makes it impossible to stay in the hotel without having to do anything to make room for the hotel.

Quality to acceptable price ratio

After having a very bad experience at the Coral Reef Holidays hotel and having a hard time finding a room elsewhere (because it's full everywhere), we found refuge in this hotel: one night in a triple bungalow (upper category) and one night in a first-rate room. In the upper category bungalow: there was air conditioning, but it was making so much noise (like a plane taking off) that the wall was shaking and we had to turn it off the whole time we were in the room... the shower was running.

Average, cheaper rooms to escape

Our bungalow is two steps from the sea among plants with a small terrace. The room is standard but large with a mini fridge indispensable in a warm country, the bathroom is large too, rudimentary with warm water but quite acceptable. A small negative point, the room is dark in broad daylight. Breakfast has hardly packed us (confume, butter, small hidden lunch, toast, not to mention, varied fame). Not hot for a western but we are in Malaysia as a devil's restaurant!!! The toys were not open at the MAI centre but quite acceptable.
