Perfect for what I needed, basic and convenient to the hot springs. There were quite a few ants in my room and the sink pipe was dripping, but the bed was very comfy and Jenny is a very friendly host.

Super amazing place to stay with an equally amazing host Mr Chua. Wonderful hospitality. No words to express it.
The resort has an ample of carpark. It has family rooms with attached toilets and hot water. BBQ facilities available too . Me and my family woke up to an amazing view of mountains in the morning.
Walking distance to all places of interest such as Poring Hotspring. Walking distance to the crystal clear river with glowing pebbles in it. Walking distance to waterfall as well.
Fully recommended for families. Fiver Stars for this place and the host.

This was a cool place to stay with fish ponds and animals all around. It was very close to the hot springs. The electricity went out on numerous occasions, to be expected, it did not dampen our stay here.

The place was great and the owner was very friendly and kind. We even got the permission to checkout at a later time as we were hiking to waterfall in the morning (and there were no new check-in for our room that day). The place is very close to Poring hotspring, canopy walkway, kipungit and langanan waterfall.The entry route however was not likeable. Passing through small stream of river, then hiking some uneven up-sloping road and some stretch of bumpy rocky paveway. Should be very cautious if you rent compact/compact sedan.Albeit that, it is a great place to stay.

Excellent place if you are looking something out of the ordinary. Serene surrounding and friendly locals. A retreat-like stay. Rough gravel road for about 2km and a hill (not advisable for low skirting cars). Beautiful place and breathtaking views. Farm-like place with chicken, rabbit, duck, and quail. Kitchen space with plenty of appliances free to use 24hrs. Friendly owners and staff. Quite clean room but limited space in room and small toilet. Hot shower. Very cold in early morning and at night. Fresh air and a fun place. No near food place. It gets dark and foggy at night. Better to be back at the lodge early as there are no street light on the way to lodge.

Basic but great little place to say. Owners are super friendly and helpful and will drop you to the springs! Both speak good English and will do all they can to help you enjoy your stay...can’t speak highly enough of them. Rooms are compact with extra small basic shower room but good value for money and very relaxing location.

If you've just come down from the mountain and need to recover, this is a great place. It's just a ten-minute walk to Poring Springs where you can soak your weary muscles. The admission to the springs is for all day, so you can do the canopy walk or go to the butterfly garden. There's also a waterfall 3,500 meters up (beware of the leeches!), but it's only worth the walk if you aren't still sore from Kinabalu. 

The Chua family own the lodge and they are just nice to hang out with. They are very helpful and can pick you up from or take you to Ranau (for a fee, tho, as it is a 20km drive). The place is tucked away amongst fruit plantations and there are cats, chickens, guinea hens, and rabbits to add some life. Very nice scenery; very quiet place.

A nice place to relax

If Poring Hot Spring is in your itinerary then you might want to consider this place. It is a quiet place to stay. The hosts are very friendly, warm and speaks good English hence don't worry upon check-in. However, don't expect a 3 stars accommodations if you are booking a 3 bedroom unit.

To start off, the distance from the Hot Spring to the lodge is about 2km but, upon entering there is no street light hence, it is advisable to pack your meal/foods before checking in. Alternatively, you can order food from the menu provided by the hosts and order is closed by 1900hrs. Expect the unexpected when your food arrived.  

The hosts provide a very basic accommodation and the one that we booked was quite rundown as for example, the floor mat was uneven and not well maintained. The tv was not working well. Additionally, it is a shared cable with the owner's unit.  Other than that, we felt that there are rooms for improvements as for example the hosts should have provided a place to hang the towels at the toilet, a proper shelves for putting our toiletries and the toilet room is very small. Be warned as, for 3 bedroom unit there is no towels provided but the hosts are good enough to give us at least 3 towels since the rest of the family members did brought their own towels. (phew!)

It is indeed such a nice place but we felt that the hosts should improve its facilities.
