I only stayed here for 1 nite whilst waiting to take a flight the nxt day to miri . Its a lovely little guesthouse , very welcoming n clean . Id arrived quite late in the evening so after a hot shower i went downstairs to look for a bar . There's no bar on site but the staff went out there way to get me a beer . I dont know if thyd gone to a local supermkt or pop round the neighbours but they came back with cans of beer . This was very sweet if them . Theres a lovely garden to sit in n have breakfast in the morning . Its not too far from airport . Definetely recommend staying here. 

Lovely place

i've been working in kk for few years in the past before i went back to johor. in the past, when i was in kk, i always imagined to come here whenever i past by this house on my way to/from work. now i came back for my annual borneo visit and stayed here for 1 night and it was not enough. i wish i could stay longer. the staff was really friendly and approachable. the house was quite. the room was clean. nothing was imperfect. it was a perfect vacation.

We booked the guest house online & were pleasantly welcomed by a Malay lady. Check-in was smooth & easy. 

The guest house is in residential area & far from town centre. So you've to get a taxi to go anywhere from here. It's not walkable to go to downtown area. 

The room was a 3 bed family room & it was 169RM/night which is a bit on high side for a guest house but then it is Malaysia not Thailand! 
However, the room which probably was a hall & converted into a bedroom & sitting area by making plywood partitioning was new, clean & spacious. All the basics were provided. Tissue rolls, water bottles & 3 in 1 coffee, were complimentary. 

There are 2 baths in the room which was a pleasant surprise with hot & cold showers & modern bath fittings, though the water pressure was low.

The staff especially Aziza's & her family were very helpful, courteous & informative. We needed a car on rent but were indecisive whether to take manual or auto as I never drove a manual car. When she noticed our dilemma she offered her own car to me to try & get familiar with cars using automatic transmission!! 
Later she helped us to get a good car of our liking at a reasonable rate. 

The breakfast which was included in the price were just basic. Typical tasteless Malaysian noodles, toast, butter & Sabah tea or coffee. The orange juice was diluted with water & it tasted like sweetened water!

Due to the plywood walls of the room it was squeaky & noisy. We could hear the guests talking in other rooms & someone singing 3 floors down at reception area with guitar!

The TV in the room was receiving only off-air channels & the remote control was defective. There was a study table, sofa set, a wardrobe & clothes hanging cabinet. 

Overall, it was a good choice, value for money & the customer service was much better than elsewhere in Malaysia. 

Nice Place to Stay

The guesthouse is within the housing area near Lintas. It's kind of situated in the middle of places of interest in Kota Kinabalu but not really within the city centre yet one may get lots of good food nearby at Lintas, Luyang, Foh Shan and so on with most of the places of interest to visit within driving distance. I did prefer staying here than city centre (noisy) as there is more serenity and one may get some local experience of staying within where the locals stay. The owner did decorated the place with much efforts of the feeling of Borneo with some local deco and lots of flowers available around. That do provide free breakfast, even though with minimal choices, but one may experience what the local breakfast feels like here with the breakfast served in the garden where one may enjoy a great morning before starting off a brand new journey to walk around Sabah, the land below the wind with a great smile from the helpers of the guesthouse. ^_^

Comfortable and warmth stay

The house is decorated with native Bornean artifacts, which are quite fun to see. There is a nice small garden with sitting area outside the house. The rooms are clean and comfortable with aircon and hot water. The breakfast is basic but is filling and tasty.

It is worth mentioning that this place isn't a hotel, its a house where the owners live and so expect a homely feel to avoid disappointments that some other reviews show.

The location is actually quite strategic, contrary to what other reviews have mentioned. Of course, this depends on what kind of tourist you are! This place is in a quiet residential area, close to the airport (just RM 5-7 for an Uber trip). Its not far from the city center either, about RM 5-7 for an Uber ride without surge. I don't think Kota Kinabalu has much to offer other than shopping and sea food, so to me it made sense to stay at this place with easy accessibility to both the city and airport.

Connie and company are very helpful and great hosts. Thanks for maintaining the homely touch to your place and not overly commercializing it, while providing all necessary facilities expected by tourists!

Tastefully decorated house with a very comfortable stay

The reception meets all expectations and the stay is the most pleasant. Very clean and comfortable room, bathroom etc. Breakfast included in the price is served next to the garden and it is quite convenient. Any small thing: the guest house is a little far from the city centre but there are buses and a taxi service for 15 MYR. I highly recommend this guest house.

Small corners of friendship and tranquility or the well-being of guests seems to be the priority... located near Lintas Plazza where you can find all possible restaurants. Very friendly management and staff and good advice. Possibility of rental car and bus stop has 200m. Taxi call. Small dej included. Super wifi. Laundry service. Very good quality/price ratio given the services of the city center for the same rates or more. Cleanliness impeccable. Possibility of speaking French, English, German, Malay and Chinese.... We will pick you up or we will take you back to the airport. What more? Guest house to visit without moderation... thank you Borneo Swiss! I booked 3 nights in this place I could stay a little but I deserved a little comment on TA.
