First of all, as a transfer, they gave me my friend with an old but freshly painted car. Tired after two flights, I was still forced to breathe the smell of paint all the way from the airport (and he was far from the city). Almost zero English from the staff. They gave me the wrong number (I booked with the air conditioner, and there was not even a fan in the room). With great difficulty the second day I tore out their fan. Constant technical failures when paying for the ticket. No refrigerator, on TV - 5 channels in French, and all with a bump and bruises.

What a terrible service!

We stayed only 3 days but I really enjoyed the sympathy of the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms and this view of the upper city!! I loved it! I would recommend it if you look for a hotel with a good location and not too expensive.

It's a good hotel.

Excellently placed near all shops and the center of 'Tana, and the manager is always helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend if looking for a budget stay, but with a little extra friendliness and hospitality!

Very good affordable stay

El Hotel Aina de la zona de Antaninarenina is located in a more than ideal location, but the quality of the price and options are much better in the area. They offer breakfast if ordered in advance although there are dream bakeries in Tana (especially on the Avenue de l'Independence, 10 minutes on foot), I wouldn't miss a breakfast at the hotel. Make sure that the room doesn't lead to the road, sleep impossible, the ones on the other side have beautiful views and much less noise. Hot water takes an hour to arrive but arrives, importantly in Tana. WiFi leaves much to be desired... Improved location. Although I don't recommend it, there are much better options at a similar price.

Hotel well located near the center and the main square, proper room, small shower, a day when there were noisy guests, pleasant and helpful staff, very correct price, room not cleaned when we arrived.

It's a basic hotel, not very charming, but clean and correct. The wifi connection only works on the ground floor. It would be nice if they renovated the mattresses. The staff is friendly.

Basic and correct!

It's really downtown, and I found myself super-cool!!! The rooms aren't Sheraton level, but they're super clean and comfortable, with everything you need, and the staff... well, I don't have the words to say they're beautiful. Besides, I've been there three times for work reasons (and I'll be there the next time, and the next time..), and, without planning anything, I found some super dives to do, and trips that weren't planned but I loved a lot, and a lot of other things. Thank you very much, dear Lalaina, Aina, and Lanto, Lala and all of you. You are all in my heart!

You can get anything you want...

It is a perfect hotel if you want to be in the city centre, safe and not overpaying. It is located on the jewellers street of Tana. The staff is very hospitable, and the rooms are very clean. Nothing to say anything special. A receptionist is present H 24. There is no breakfast on site however but they accompanied us to a nice place not far away.

No worries.

What a sad place this hotel is, well located and cheap, but I couldn't stay in it, a dark, spartan, old room that smelled smoke, yet very hospitable staff, no climate, very noisy, no wifi and no decoration, in short, a room from another time...

What to Avoid

This is just your average hotel. It has a western bathroom and airconditioning. The employees are nice people. They taught me a few Malagasy words.

Negatief points:
They advised us two places to eat, but sadly we got sick.
Our bathroom wasn't really cleaned. Only the bedsheets was changed. 
We had received a toilet paper that was covered in bugs.
When ordering breakfast, we received the same breakfast every day.

The really plus side are the employees. They speak a little English and are kind. The wifi connection is really weak, but better something than nothing.
