Picture this, deciding to leave L'Aiglon hotel in Becharri at 11:00 PM and drive for 3 hours back home just because you don't want to spend the night there anymore..

We took 2 days off and planned to spend them in Becharri as there's a lot of attractions to visit there.

So we reserved our room at l'Aiglon via booking where we read that our check in is at 2:00 PM.
We arrived around that time and the owner had no idea that we had a booking.

Once we showed him the email, he made us tour the rooms of the hotel that were not ready and under cleaning process after telling us that the room that we booked for 80$ is an old one this is why it is "cheap" stating that if we want a better room, we were supposed to pay more.

We informed the owner that our purpose was only to do some hikes in Becharri and enjoy the view outside at night before sleeping.

He offered us discounted upgrade on a suite with Jacuzzi as the hotel was totally empty. We accepted the room as at least it had a window with a nice view.

At night, the temperature went down so we decided to use the jacuzzi with some hot water.
The jacuzzi had some missing/broken pieces and wasn't well maintained so we decided to fill it with hot water and use it (without turning it on) specially that we paid for it.

At the beginning, there was some hot water wich turned cold before that the jacuzzi was filled.
To our astonishment, it seemed like there was no hot water anymore.

 We called the reception at 9:30 PM when a lady answered telling us that she doesn't work there and the hotel team are asleep 🤣
When we asked about the hot water issue, she said that it can be checked in the morning!

We took a COLD shower and went down to the reception.

Surpise, surprise! The owner's wife awake watching a series.. after telling her at the issue, she said "sorry, my husband forgot to tell you that the hot water is limited and you must have used it all" knowing that we were the only guests in the whole hotel and we turned on the hot water only to fill the jacuzzi. 

Seeing the level of unprofessionalism and carelessness, we packed our bags and left the hotel, she simply closed the door behind us as we're leaving by car and went back to continue enjoying the series.

P.S.: till now, no one bothered to call and ask about what happened.

Unprofessionalism at its best

Very friendly staff, great view, the road is a bit unsafe but it's worth it, best value for money, i highly recommend it, u'll spend great time in the region especially if you haven't visited the cedars of god.

Excellent

We are two friends visiting Lebanon, we spend 5 days and 4 nights in the country. We booked 3 nights in the city, so to change we booked 1 night in the Eagle in the mountains. When we arrived, the electricity was cut off, the lights were off, no heating in the establishment, we were welcomed in DOUDOUNE! After 2 unexplained power cuts we are forced to go down to the reception where we get very unwelcome and we are told no no no pb if have a BIG problem! And yet we haven't tasted the food yet...

Get out of here!

A hotel on high ground overlooking the Qadisha valley, the view is magnificent and the food is good.

Unique Point of View

The manager is not very nice, for dinner a Maggie-type soup😳when we were waiting for a family soup. Lunch served without milk or coffee...jacuzzi with electric wire on the ground (I preferred to abstain) reserved on reservation impossible to pay in CB. Apart from our rooms the spaces were freezing without heating.

Not welcoming at all!

We were charged $125 dollars when the price on 'Booking.com' for the same room on the same night was around $80 – the owner had done a side deal with the taxi driver who brought us to the hotel. There were no official prices displayed and we were told we had to pay cash. As there is little choice of accommodation in the area (one other hotel, I think) we had to stay. The room was cold and we sat in our coats until the heating was put on a 6pm. We were given a partially burnt-out electric fan but it spat out little electric flames when we used it – what a death trap. After we had been out for the day and when we got to our room we even had to go and ask the owner to switch on the power as everything was off. The food we ordered for supper was average and expensive. In the morning absolutely no one was around and we had to go and knock on what looked like the owners' private accommodation to get our breakfast. The shower was nice and the bedding comfortable. The views are very nice.

Avoid

Hotel l'Aiglon is in a beautiful location and within walking distance of the Ceders of God. However, the hotel management is very weak, with the family members sitting around smoking and not really engaging in a positive way with their customers. The rooms are down at heel.... however, the beds are very comfortable. My shower/bath unit did not work. The food was just okay. Personally, I would not use this hotel again.

Hotel l'Aiglon is a lovely location but customer relations are poor

I visited this hotel for a lunch, we were large group, the staffs didn't welcomed us in a good way, the foods were cold and sure not tasty, the only positive thing is the view over the qadicha valley..
My recommendation is to be aware while going there, the way isn't too safe and it needs a good driver, 
Also, don't go with large group, the staffs aren't ready..
One point to add that the staffs are racism.. 

Bad restaurant.. Bad staff

The hotel has one of the most beautiful views on the mountain. Yet, the staff, facilities, and comfort are not that great. It was a bit far from everything, the restaurant was closed, so we had to drive for food. Heating was not working, so we almost froze up there. It's more like of a get-away place.

Nice view, that's it!

The Eagle is a rather old but renovated hotel, located high up in Bcharé on the old Cedars Road, overlooking the Kadisha valley. We stayed one night at the end of September, so out of season, alone in the hotel, the owner offered us the best room for a barely higher price. Very nice view, good welcome and breakfast included.
