Two times the room was not cleaned. When I entered the room I found a dirty spoon in the sink and the fridge was not working. The room is supposed to have an equipped kitchen. I found just one knife and this one was rusty. One day  there was a little problem with the tempερature of the water in the shower. the internet connection was not really strong.Ok it was terrible but it could be better by far.

Minto Suites is in the heart of the booming bar district in Hamra. If that's what you want, it's a great place to stay. If not, it's a crowded and noisy experience. The staff is super nice and friendly. The rooms are clean but worn. Nothing wrong in itself. Very good value for money.

Heart of booming Hamra

I stayed in Minto for a month while in Beirut. The staff was exceptional, especially Samer (who is one of the nicest people I've ever met). There's 24-hour security, and they frequently inquired to make sure that all my needs were met. If I had a problem (for example, remote control for air con didn't work at first), they were very quick to fix it. The bar downstairs on the ground floor plays VERY loud music, but it was no problem when I wanted to change to a room on the top floor. Location is very convenient in Hamra. Rooms themselves feel a little bit dated, but it was absolutely sufficient for what I needed. Hundreds of channels on TV, so if you know Arabic, that's a plus. I'd definitely recommend and would stay again.

1-month stay: great staff, location

Only downside of this hotel is that it is now quite old and noisy on the weekends (due to the bars underneath)Staff are friendly and helpful and the location is right in the centre of hamra making it easy to get around anywhere in beirut via share taxi, bus or walkingBathroom facilities are good but the wifi and cable tv are a bit patchy at timesIt is a good price for the location (especially if you want to enjoy the nightlife) but as mentioned it can be noisy at times They try to keep it as clean as possible and rooms are large and spacious but it is an old building

its on a bar area .room was very loud ...like very loud .u can feel the bed is jumpping becuse of the music from the bar downstars ...the room is normal...not like hotel decration , no shampoo .nothing ....the bed....is bad ....anyways i think is kind expensive for 44$ pernight .

I stayed here for 2 weeks when I moved to Lebanon before I moved into my permanent apartment. It was reasonable for what I paid. I moved from a much nicer (more expensive) hotel round the corner (excess of $100 a night), as I managed to find an apartment in Beirut and just needed somewhere to crash until I moved there.

The location is very central. Plenty of pubs and bars below the hotel. My main advice would be to bring a pair of ear-plugs so you can actually go to sleep. One night there was a live band playing on the street below (small alley-way off Hamra) so I didn't sleep at all! As I stayed for over 2 weeks the owner actually reduced the price significantly. I think I eventually ended up paying $35 a night down from the advertised $50. Despite it's many flaws. i.e. old building, creaky and cold atmosphere etc the management are actually very nice if you take time to speak to them. I found it very easy to negotiate many things with them.

Check the room you get i.e. front facing rooms are prone to noise from the street below so get a room high up. My room was facing the back and there was a shaft outside one of the windows which meant I could smell the fuel from the generator now and again so had to sleep with the extractor fan on!! Make sure you check these small things just to your stay is as comfortable as can be.

The rooms are actually very big and you get beds, table, kitchenette etc over around 30 Sq Metres. I didn't actually use the kitchenette! The room was cleaned each day and I was out for most of the day.

I would only recommend this hotel to anyone on a tight budget or group of friends who want to use the hotel as a base to leave their stuff and will be out most of the time!

You get what you pay for!

Bad surprise, bad quality price... noisy neighborhood, until 4am. Medium hygiene, vintage suite, very bad service. The internet is very slow, connecting but no internet connection... following extremely dirty, the windows that the ladies do not even touch... this stay was really horrible, overwhelming!

It's a horrible stay.

The price is right and the housekeeping is good (daily cleaning, and changing sheets and towels every 3 days). The location is very good, since in the heart of Hamra. count 2000 Libra to get to Downtown by taxi service (red plate, which takes several people during a race) only big problem, all the apartments overlook a narrow street extremely busy at night: from 8pm to 4am every night.
