Šlokenbekas Muiža

Place is very tranquil as that was first thing I noticed when arrived here very late night and the place itself was impressing with its old and historical atmosphere. Although the setting itself is historical and the hotel is part of it, the design of hotel rooms was rather modern. Our requirement was to have a wheelchair accessible room - this hotel had 1 disabled access room, which was designed for 3 people (1 double bed, one single), it had wet-floor shower (all in one level). Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Rooms was tidy, comfortable size. We were group of four people sharing 2 rooms, some of us found the bed too hard, but personally myself it was just right for tight sleep as I was very tired. The breakfast was amazing, it was a nearly like a feast. The place itself has rich history and we were lucky with the lady from the reception who shared some historical insights, There is an roadlaying museum in the territory of the manor, it very interesting contrast for the historical place. Also there is absolutely beautiful seaside spots 15 minute drive by car (heading to Klapkalnciems). Thank you for all care, we enjoyed staying here!
