Vang Vieng

More for farmer's than tourists. All the good restaurant on other side of bridge . We had amazing view from restaurant of banana bungalow. But should you have bad leg like me and have difficulty walking stay other side of river. Go the ballooning and hire a buggy for half day. Great fun. Reasonable price. Take longboat up rover or float down if yr young and adventures. 

Budget accomadation 

We enjoyed a bungalow in the back of the garden, with a view of the mountains, beautiful! We were calm, away from the river and the music. The bungalow was comfortable, bright, very good bed, hot water with pressure. The only negative point, the welcome was a little cold, and you never know who to ask for information, the menu of the restaurant, etc. Other than that, very good memories!

Calm and Rest

If you love to stay silently and peacefully, you should choose bungalow. That Banana Bungalow in Vang Vieng is located in other side of the Nam Saung river. I stayed there two nights with very cheap price. I had good view, good location, and good food near by. Just across the river from bamboo bridge. 

Lovely Bungalow

I would recommend it not only to people who love comfort and cleanliness but also to families with children. Bungalows are well placed, seen on the river or seen on the mountain. Magnificent landscape! But comfort is not there, it's like sleeping in a small hut, you hear it all night (music, animals, insects). Dusty room and no daily housekeeping, you have to do it either with a provided bat. The bathroom is a few terrible steps, if you fall on a bungalow with hot water you are lucky! You can sleep with surprise guests (cafard, lizard...) The wifi runs to and from just one place of the property. The price is high enough to be added to a lot of 20 €, and the price for people who want to sleep in a comfortable place is a little more than 2 €.

Holidays

So we stayed here for 2 nights in vang vieng. We had to walk through the main backpacker area and cross a rickety bamboo bridge over the river to get to it. There are some small restraunts lining the rivers edge which seemed to be mostly occupied by locals. Behind these you can see a row of raised bungalows. We walked up to the reception area and was greeted by a guy who confirmed our booking.  At first he was going to take us to a bungalow facing the river but we knew there were more behind and asked if we could stay at the back. Mainly because we had already seen photographs of the views there and with the noise on the front we would prefer to be at the back. The gentlemen walked us round the back and through gardens leading us to our bungalow. The view at the back is spectacular with the mountain in the background. The bungalow its self had 2 single beds inside which was perfect for myself and my friend travelling together. The beds were comfy and the room had a fan, air conditioning and a fridge, however, it wasn't possible to get the fridge cold as when we took the keycard out from the power switch/meter the electricity turned off. Hijacking this with a bank card did not seem to work unfortunately. The toilet had a shower like a wet room but the hot water did not work. It wasn't an issue as with the hot weather a cold shower was welcome. There was no fly nets over the beds but we did not see any mosquitoes in the room. I guess they're not fond of air conditioning. Overall, it was a good place to stay. The toilet/shower room could have been slightly better maintained but it served its purpose. For somewhere quiet, close to the main strip and with great view this place is definately a contender. Check it out.

Nice little find

I stayed here for 2nights/3days with my friend.
It only took a 5 minute walk to cross the bridge to the town.
Most of all, this bungalow has great view & serene atmosphere.
I recommend you stay here.
And I'll stay here again if I visit Vang Vieng 1 more time.

A picturesque scene

Beautifully maintained property, bungalows were clean and modern inside and out. A/C and hot water worked perfectly. Absolute best location, just across the foot bridge from the center of town so it's close to everything as well as just removed enough to be private. The views on the far side of the property are amazing, and sunset from the balcony of your bungalow is stunning. Wifi is non-existent unless you're standing at reception. Would absolutely stay again and recommend to anyone staying in Vang Vieng.

Best place to stay in Vang Vieng.

I stayed here for three nights and got the best sleep in all of my time (2 weeks) in Laos. The Bungalows are sufficiently spaced out and I had a mini villa with an en suite which was more than enough for a solo traveller. I had paid a bit more than usual as I wanted to stay away from town centre. It only took a 5 minute walk to cross the bridge to the town and I walked in both directions late and night and early morning and always felt safe. Good free wifi internet was available in front restaurant and this was also were I ate the included breakfast of eggs, bread roll, cucumber, sausage and bacon. The rooms were never made up in the 3 nights I was there, so you are completely independent, the only downside to this was needing to ask for more toilet paper!! Another point to note was that the air con was located right above the bed, which meant I often awoke freezing and learnt not to keep it going on the 3rd night despite the heat. The Bungalow wiring fit out has only one power plug close to the door, hence my 2 meter iPhone charging cable (finally!) came in handy - it was a good excuse to not be on my phone too much. Recommend

Simple and relaxing accomodation - just a short walk over bridge from the crowded town centre

We were lucky. We had the last bungalow with mountain vew. From there you could see a dazzling sunset. The bungalows are equipped with air conditioning and hammock on a small terrace. Breakfast is not included but you can take it right across from the shore feet in the water. 

As seen from Paradise

At first, after crossing the bamboo bridge the place looked almost idyllic! The small bamboo bungalows are charming, we had chosen the one that overlooks the river!! Woe to us!! from 6pm it's the beach party!! The result if you're on the trip it's a go! But if you've just taped 6 hours of Bus it's not very restful!! To repeat, I'd choose the bungalows of the do a little further from the beach Point positive: small bamboo installations on the river are planned to drink a very relaxing beer! This is also the end of the tubing for the followers! We have 130,000 kips which is in view of the performance! We also had trouble negotiating a motorbike or a bicycle ride off the bridge!
