This guesthouse is run by Kenny, Komaki and their lovely children who live right next door. You need to email them to make a booking and payment is only via cash during your stay. They only have two en-suite rooms with two single beds each, but will add a thick futon on the floor for a third person. No issues with the additional futon. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and spacious （Not a speck of mould in the bathroom!) Breakfast is homemade and phenomenal, we had similar dishes in an Okinawa hotel elsewhere but they were simply not as good. If you ask, Komaki is happy to allow you to share their washing machine. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side for diving / snorkeling when we were there. But otherwise, we had a great time!

Lovely family and lovely stay

Arrived at Akachichi and was greeted by Komaki san and Sky chan. We were shown to our amazing room promptly and given tips to get around/eat/visit etc. The weather was excellent and the room was well-ventilated. We had no need for air conditioning and it truly felt like a beach holiday!
The guesthouse is close to a few beaches and a few diving schools (walking distance). We'll definitely come back again! Thank you Kenny for answering all our questions! Also, thank you Komaki san and Kenny for preparing breakfasts for us at 6am!

Homely and comfortable lodging

We stayed here again just before summer. We were warmly greeted by Kenny and Komaki. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They always answered our questions and offered great suggestions about places to go. Kenny set up a snorkeling day with a local dive business. Our elementary age children absolutely loved it and it remains one of our enduring memories. The room itself was perfect for our needs. Simple layout and very clean the room opens out through double doors to the garden which was in full bloom. We would sit there for our morning breakfast prepared by Komaki. It was absolutely delicious and more importantly, homemade ! The location was well situated for us and within easy walking distance to the beach. On our first night we had a pizza from a place with a wood-fired oven. After this, we went down to enjoy the sea and sunset which I can only describe as something you may have seen in a movie. It really was that paradise view you would expect. In fact, I have to say that in all respects, Akachichi exceeded our expectations, so much so that we have stayed there twice. Okinawa has so much to see. Thank you Kenny and Komaki

Fantastic place, fantastic hosts !

Just returned from a family trip to Okinawa. This is the best place to stay if you are visiting this magical corner of our wondeful Earth! You will receive 5 star service here! The breakfast, the cleaninless, the happy, smiley hosts will make your stay unforgetable!  Kenny and Komaki we cannot thank you enough for all the great information about the history, the places to see and do as well as the tips you provided! We will never forget your kidness and your help in making our stay on your island so special!

The house is a little paradise with a magical garden. The rooms have great design with everything you need for a perfect holidays.

Heaven on earth

We spent in Akachichi five days of our trip to Okinawa, unforgetable vacation thanks also to Akachichi's lovely hostfamily.
We enjoyed delicious food, a beautyful gesthouse with confortable furniture and a well maintained garden where to have breakfast and relax.
The guesthouse is conveniently located in the middle of the island, ideal for a long stay if you want to visit places in the north as well as in the south. it is close to one of the most beautiful snorkeling and scuba diving site and a few minutes by foot from enchanting, isolated coral sand beaches.
