Although a short walk away from JR Akihabara station, the hotel is still very convenient for anyone who is looking for a economical hotel stay in Tokyo. The rooms is average in size as business hotels in Tokyo goes. It is clean and well lit. I would stay here again when I am going on a budget-minded trip! 

Excellent value for the money!

We had a comfortable stay at Via Inn Akihabara. The hotel check in is at 1500 hours but you can handover the luggage at the reception if you arrive earlier. The hotel is situated in the heart of Akihabara, walking distance from subway and JR stations. There are plenty of eateries nearby as well as placed to shop. Also, Akihabara is the anime district, so loads to explore here. Akihabara is also just 10 minutes from Tokyo station, offering great connectivity from the airport and to the rest of the city.

Comfortable stay, great location

We stayed 6 nights in this hotel. It is well located in the heart of Akihabara, near the metro and train station. There are restaurants and supermarkets very close to the hotel so it was very convenient for us. Breakfast buffet is included in the price so that was a plus. The room, which was in the 23rd floor, had such a great views! Our room was very clean, well equipped with amenities such as slippers,  pyjama, toiletries...We had a extremely quality of sleep because the bed was very comfortable and the hotel is very quiet as well. We don't regret with our choice, we would stay here if one day we come back to Tokyo.

Great choice

Great business hotel, close to the station and Main Street. Quietly street but you will hear the trains. Rooms ending in 10 are larger and have a nice bathroom. Breakfast is Japanese but you will find some pastries and drinks. Service is good and staff is helpful. Great value for the money, specially in Tokyo.

Great hotel in Tokyo 

So when I was booking this hotel (my normal favourite being sold out), I was a little concerned about the walk from the train station as Google Maps showed only the roadway bridges, taking one a bit out of the way. But have no fear, there is an easily found pedestrian bridge beside the railway tracks that basically takes you right there from the station. You might miss it on your arrival, but it makes this a much more convenient hotel than you might first think.

The hotel itself has been recently renovated and is spectacular for a business hotel in Tokyo at this price point. (In my room you could even sit in the soaking tub and look out over Akihabara.) The room itself was typical Tokyo small, but that's typical for this price/location.

My new favourite business hotel in Akihabara

One of the best located hotels in Tokyo in my opinion. It's a 5 min. walk to electric town central of Akihabara. 
Not too expensive and have to say you get a lot for such a low price. 
The breakfast buffet every morning was great with also plenty of vegetarian options! 
The hotel was clean and very quiet even though the amount of guests staying was high. 
On the 17th floor we had a great view over the city and even got a peak at Mt. Fuji. 
The beds were quite hard and so were the pillows, so didn't get a great sleep, but was worth it anyway. 
The room is rather small, especially as a couple with 2 big suitcases and some smaller hand luggage items. But we managed just fine. 
The staff was friendly and helpful.
If you love spending time in Akihabara I absolutely recommend this hotel.

Good hotel, perfect location!

Fuss-free business hotel in a really convenient location. The highlight of this hotel for me was the bath with a window. It's a feature more often seen in 4 or 5-star hotels and definitely not in this price range in the middle of Tokyo. Gazing at the city view while soaking in a hot bath after a long day of shopping and sightseeing is a mini bit of luxury. I lucked out and got a room on the third highest floor. My room windows overlooked Akihabara Station, and with a view of the Skytree at the corner. It's great just watching trains pulling in and out of the station late at night and this is now one of my favourite things I've done in Tokyo. Do note however, there are a small amount of rooms that don't come with a bathroom window. 

The free breakfast buffet is another great point of the hotel. It had rather decent offerings for something that's free, with bread rolls to scrambled eggs to cooked salmon to Japanese curry. They don't really change up the menu and I stayed for a week so I didn't go down everyday, but that's perfectly fine since I never paid extra for it.

Rooms are pretty small as they mostly cater to businessmen staying for a night so with a big luggage it might be cumbersome, but other than that, the hotel is clean and well-equipped. The humidifier is much, much appreciated in the Winter season too. They didn't give bottled water but you have an electric pot. 

Protip: If you take the main road from Akihabara Station to the hotel it might be about 10 minutes walk, but you can take a somewhat-hidden narrow blue bridge (ask the hotel staff for the map) which cuts the time to about 4 minutes. I won't recommended to use this route late at night though because it's a quiet part of Akihabara.

All in all, I would say it was worth my every cent.

10/10 would stay again

We stayed five nights at the ViaInn. First of all, it is very well located, close to the lively Akihabara neighborhood and the Yamanote Line. The reception is, as always in Japan, very friendly. The room is well arranged, the average bunk. We had a shower problem, but overall the equipment is satisfactory. The breakfast is quite good, even though the room is a little small. A good balance, with a nice view from our room.

Very satisfying hotel

This hotel is well located and within a 5 minute walk of the train station and a number of restaurants. We found the staff very  helpful and happily stored our bags until our room was ready later that day. The free wi-fi and washing machines were a bonus as well! 

Like a number of Tokyo accommodation options, the rooms are very small so make sure you take this into consideration.

Tiny room in a good location

The hotel is very clean and well located, in the Akihabara station that connects with all of Tokyo.The breakfast is quite complete, although most of the things are for your culture.Of course there is very little room and bathroom space.
