Very large hotel, very small rooms. Breakfast buffet included. A conglomeration of eastern and western items. Not too much English spoken at reception. Good walking neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and close enough to the center of things.

Japanese chain hotel

Hotel Villa Fontaine Roppongi is a comfortable hotel, clean and well appointed. Its location allows easy access to the Metro system and, thus, travel throughout Tokyo is extremely easy.
The staff are all very helpful and will assist you with arrangements for sightseeing, travel and recommendations for dining.
There are printing facilities in the lobby and the staff will help people, like me, who are unfamiliar with the technology allowing you to print out, at a metered cost, documents, Boarding Passes etc.
The hotel has no restaurant but there are plenty of eateries nearby.
The breakfast is good but may be a bit intimidating to some people as you will have to load up your breakfast tray and search for a seat at the long bench table set in the middle of the Reception lobby.
One thing that really stood out was that, for an hotel in a busy part of Tokyo, it was extremely quiet in the room at night therefore allowing a great night's sleep.
Overall I enjoyed the ease of access, the service and the very reasonable price.
This is an hotel I would use again.

Comfortable, Well Positioned Hotel

We stayed here for 10 days.  It was one of the local hotels close to where my husband was to work at Roppongi (10 mins walk).  The price for the 10 days was great, the location so close to Roppongi-itchome metro which made for getting around Tokyo easy.  If you don't mind walking it is also easy to walk to other local attractions, Tokyo Tower, Zojoji Temple, Roppongi Hills.  The rooms are what you pay for, the room we had certainly needed a revamp.  Both the chairs were badly stained, there was mould on the wallpaper near the windows and in spots in the bathroom, however the rooms were well cleaned.  The rooms were small and it was awkward to store two suitcases and find space for clothing for two people for 10 days.  The breakfast provided was basic, we didn't go every day, however on two occasions I had frozen food (once was the scrambled egg and the other time it was a pastry), so that put me off. A big bonus was they had a laundry (great for travellers travelling light and needing to wash).  The reception staff were always friendly and very helpful if you had any queries and the cleaning staff always said hello and were very professional. If you are looking for a great priced hotel and not the luxury then this is the hotel for you.

Good Price for Great Location

Stayed here for a week- business section of Roppongi. Small room, which is typical for Japan, but clean. Staff was hospitable and eager to assist with directions.  Metro  station right under the front door. Breakfast included but basic. 

Good value for price

I stayed here 4 nights on a business trip. Excellent location, 10mins walking from Roppongi crossing. Roppongi-Ichiome station is literally below the hotel. It has plenty of shops and restaurants, different food options very recommendable if you want to change from the frankly rather “boring” complimentary breakfast offered by the hotel. As usual great service from the desk staff, fast check-in. The room was reasonably spacious, comfortable and silent. No frills really but everything you need especially if you are on a business trip, like it was my case. I would definitely stay here again!

Very great option, excellent location!

We arrived after midnight following a late flight and were quickly issued our rooms.  The staff were very helpful and polite.

The rooms were clean and tidy.   Good selection for breakfast which was held down in the lobby.

The location is key being just above a minor train station.  Super quick and easy to get everywhere.  The only negative was that the last trains are around midnight and so we ended up training part of the way and ubering the rest on arrival.  Not the hotel's fault but worth noting.

Great location, Nice Hotel

Really disappointing.  I lived in Japan for many years and every hotel I have ever stayed in is scrupulously clean and well-maintained. Hotel Villa Fontaine Roppongi is, sadly, the exception.  I get that the rooms are small but these are dingy and really in need of upkeep. The wallpaper was both dirty and damaged, the carpets grimy and the furniture scratched banged up.
All hotels/inns supply a "yukata" which is always 100% cotton and a highlight of a stay at a Japanese hotel.  What the hotel tried to pass off as one of these was a nasty, cheap polyester thing with buttons or snaps (can't remember)... anyway, NOT a yukata.
The prices are very good for the location but do understand that the rooms are really small.  I was by myself but can't imagine two people sharing this room.  

Great location

Nice hotel, very friendly staff. The hotel is located right next to the metro station and to several restaurantes/coffee stores. The room was confortable and the price was fair.
The breakfast was also good.

Good Hotel

The hotel is centrally located right at the Roppongi-Itchome subway station The check-in went smoothly, the staff was very friendly. The rooms were not particularly large, yet sufficient. The beds in the normal double room are unfortunately only 1.40 wide, so whoever needs more space should book the room accordingly. The rooms and the bathroom were clean, the beds were replaced every day, fresh pyjamas were also available every day. The only drawback is breakfast, there are salads, every day there was sausage or bacon (which has an artificial flavor), Japanese bread and marmalade, coffee water, unfortunately there were no plates but not just breakfast here.

100 meters to a minor station was a big help.

Breakfast is very basic. Enough to get you started. If you're still hungry there are options at the park.

About 400 meters away from Roppongi attractions.
