We were in Osaka just by way, we just needed a place to sleep. The place is comfortable and very clean. The castle beds are spacious. With all the comforts in the area however we had the opportunity to plan the rest of our trip. There are separate male and female rooms and a common room. Recommended even for more than one night. Available and friendly staff.

It's a great dorm.

Based on the comments we stayed with my partner for two nights, none of them we could sleep. The beds are soft enough but seeing a bedbug cross your bed the same day you arrive says a lot like the flame stuck to my partner's mattress on one side of the east. The pieces are large but at the same time you have at least 20 beds which are only separated by a curtain, which wouldn't be a problem if you don't hear everything they say, do and breathe next to each other (unlike other pieces with slightly more sophisticated cubicle-like facilities) Unfortunately my experience was not bad for the hotel in general since the snoring and the other three having sex with the couple don't make me feel half as guilty as the positive change the side of the bed provides.

Poor experience

I think their slogan is 'too much service' and you can kinda see why. They offer things no one else do and that is why they're so cool. All day everyday they offer free snacks and drinks (including booooooze!). The social room is like a cafe where everything is free! Yesterday they gave us a free Japanese style bowl as a souvenir, too! These seem like little things, true, but they add up if you're on a small budget. Oh, and the dorms are quiet and comfortable. I'm sleeping like a baby so far!

I wanna give them a 6th star

I've stayed here for 2 night. The location close to Sakuragawa station. Easy access to anywhere. Very clean and comfortable room/ rest room/ pantry. Free WiFi, snack and drink water also free breakfast. Toiletries included. Overall I enjoy it !

Highly recommended !

I recently had a wonderful 5 night stay at Briller Sakura. The location was perfect, only a few steps away from Sakuragawa Station Exit 4. Everything was clean and comfortable. I have to say though, the bed was not the best, but if you're not too fussy about your bed, It's fine, really. They also provided free snacks and drinks at the common room which I highly appreciated.  

My only complaint was that they seemed to turn the hot water off at night, and since I stayed during the winter I found it a little annoying.

All in all I enjoyed my stay and it was very good value for what I paid.

Excellent location and incredibly clean!

Briller Sakura, located in the Osaka prefecture of Japan is a quaint hostel in a great location (1 min walk from Sakuragawa train station, 15 mins walking to Namba shopping and dining area, etc), clean, and inexpensive compared to other hostels in the area. Free bottles of water, beer, coffee, and other snacks. Fast wifi and moderately friendly staff.

I only had one problem here...

The beds were quite close to each-other (only separated by a thin sheet) and very uncomfortable. All of the bunk-beds are made of ply wood and you can definitely feel that when you sleep. The mattress cushions, masked by an also thin mattress pad, are paper-thin (you can take your hand on either side of the mattress and feel the other finger). The pillow is also the same, basically as cheap and uncomfortable as you can get.

My stay here was pleasant, but based solely on this issue with the beds, I would not suggest Briller Sakura for anything more than short stays (1-2 days max). It is difficult to attack your day when you wake up feeling exhausted and fatigued from your sleep. But, based on the price of places to stay in Osaka and other variables, I still give this hostel a rating of very good.
