Wow. That’s all I can say!!! This place is so gorgeous. It was a pleasure staying here. We had 3 nights but could’ve stayed more, although it’s enough to see Hakone, but if you want a few extra days to relax, this is the place. When you arrive you get to choose traditional Japanese wear from a range of designs. The food is amazing, make sure you choose the dinner option! Lots of seafood, sashimi, hot pot, beef, pork and chicken mains. The rooms are comfortable and quite large by Japanese standards. Also, this hotel was hundreds of dollars cheaper than other ryokans offering a meal plan in Hakone (that we saw). The onsen is relaxing and quite large. There’s an indoor one (large) and a small outdoor one as well. If you want you can also hire a private onsen, free of charge, if you want to bathe with your partner or if you want to shower in private. The staff are definitely a highlight here too. They’re so friendly and kind, and happy to help with any requests. As a bonus, there are free massage chairs for guests. Seriously, this place nails it. Make sure you stay here when you visit Hakone. Final tip - get the Hakone travel pass, it’s much cheaper to get around with it. This hotel is close to Gora Station. Easy access around Hakone. Take the ropeway to Lake Ashi for views of Mt Fuji on a clear day. Enjoy this amazing gem!
