My weekend stay at Summerset Resort was awesome. My family and I went there on Friday November 6, 2020. we stayed there until the 8th of November. Even though it rained 90 percent of the time, we still had fun. the live performances by Gem Myers and the others were awesome. I absolutely loved this place and I will be back soon. Thanks to the staff who showed that they knew what they were doing. they went out and beyond to make sure that all the guests were ok..

An excellent place to stay

I've stayed at Summerset Resort on multiple occasions and it has never disappointed me. It's a rustic, relaxed atmosphere where you know all guests on the property and everyone is friendly. You can choose between a cottage, single, double, or triple rooms. The cottages are in varying sizes, the largest having 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The staff and students in training are all very polite and they do their utmost to ensure the satisfaction of their guests. There is live entertainment with some of the very best singers and musicians in Jamaica providing live entertainment. The food is of excellent quality and when there is a party in house, they pull out all the stops to make it a truly rich, fun experience. I've stayed in many hotels and villas through the years but this property just pulls me in a relaxes me and can rest, have fun, walk the grounds, play, and do whatever I want. Shuttle service is available to take guests to the beach, shopping, or out on the town.

Summerset Resort & Hotel Training School is a beautiful small resort, its amazing how things have changed over the time i have been visiting. ever since the new management took it over, its a gem to be discovered. the rooms can now compete with any five star resort. Its the first in the Caribbean to be run full by Hospitality student. The customer services is great, the student are wonderful, the food is mouth watering, the entertainment, is phenomenal, everything about my time there was amazing.

My stay at the amazing Summerset Resort & Hotel Training School

This place is wonderful!  I was worried about our stay after reading the reviews, but upon our nighttime arrival found a beautiful resort twinkling in Christmas lights that didn’t disappoint in the morning.  You can tell everything has just received a new coat of paint and been scrubbed down. It is now a teaching resort affiliated with a college, which is just up the road.  They have guards at the gate and on the property, students I presume.  After 24 hours of settling in and becoming accustomed to the place, we had absolutely no security concerns as the whole place felt like it’s own little village that we belong to and doors are secured.  This is not one of the big resorts.  It has the feel of a bungalow from the movie “Dirty Dancing” or the Netflix show “The Fabulous Miss Marple” when they go to the Poconos.  Groovy and fun.  It feels like a real Jamaican experience.  Great local talent for entertainment at night.  Friendly and plentiful staff, hospitality students at the college so be kind and instructive as they are timid and thoughtful and are here to learn. The staff are just learning to deal with and work with non-Jamaicans so even though we speak the same language there is a bit of a language barrier just be patient repeat yourself and engage they are very wonderful young people and are happy to figure it out with you. Just a fun trip overall, really great people.

So, They Definitely Have New Management!

Nice and clean rooms, quiet location and superfriendly staff. Only bad is that wifi is not working in the room so u have to go to the road. But hey, who needs wifi all the time. Extra thanks to Dwayne the gardener who take care of all your problems!

Really good for the money!

I have stayed in Summerset Village for three nights. If you are looking for something cheap in Negril go for it but be aware that you will be far far away from as it's said the best beach in Jamaica. This hotel used to be a hub for Neckerman travel agency but it's not any more. It's a bit empty and unkempt. Very basic conditions. After one night we had to change the room because toilet didn't work. In the other room there was no A/C, just very loud butterfly. Breakfast was very poor and if you want to get more you need to pay extra. There is an atmospher like nobody care about bussiness and customers. It was said that very soon managment will be changed so perhaps it will help. 

Far away from the 7 Miles Beach

I love Summerset Village and the staff are most amazing...this is my home for a good part of the year and they treat me with so much respect.....the rooms are amazing....I rent a little cottage on the property....the property is well cared for and there is swimming pool, internet and cable TV, A/C if you want....it is so quiet and peaceful.....and I can take a quick walk to the cliff to see the sunset everyday......feels like I am living in a dream!  Great way to get to know the locals in the neighborhood....I just can't say enuff good stuff...

One of the best in the West - End

I went there and I had a wonderful time Miss Petrenella is very kind the gardeners as well very friendly with us devon the bartender was always kind and very polite pauline the maid was always there for us and very listening steven made us eat fruit on the property even it was really cool to get up in the morning and go look for fruit and ackees behind the cottage it was perfect you even have wi-fi access to the office with your cellar or portable we were going to isolate for two but eventually stayed 5 sem c was a really nice experience it's a really nice nice place seriously nice and its pain we'll go back to it's our luck all the staff was very nice and very nice and really nice at breakfast the official pizz and my daughter's very nice place to go to the beach with some of the very nice seeds

Super place summer set village one love.

Very simple hotel,top rooms very bright,on the WE.many local guests (often loud),dogs and cats in the premises and dining room breakfast very heavy (butter,bread counted on allocation) -extras such as cheese and sausage for an additional price Location:about 4km to the beach and to the city (taxi) Impossible on foot as there is no walking path,dangerous on the curved road to the sea (clip) in about 500m via the Escape Hotel.Bad by the bathroom at the promenade is impossible.Extras such as 5€...but I also recommend many simple snacks,in the supermarket 2€, which is not far from the hotel, and a taxi route to the roundabout.
