Santa Maria Accomodation is a three-star hotel in a residential area, in the quiet Monti district, a short distance from the Papal Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore. The hotel is strategically located to walk to the Domus Aurea and the Basilica of San Pietro in Vincoli. The Coliseum, included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site list, is 2.5 km away. Termini station is about 850 metres away, while Fiumicino airport is about 30 km away.
Hotel features
This recently renovated hotel is housed in an old 13th century building, once used as a Santa Prassede granary. The hotel preserves elements of its original architecture such as stone floors, wooden beams and ancient steps where wheat was brought and processed.
It consists of a main building with rooms and facilities on the second and third floor of the ancient 13th century building and an annex with rooms on the ground floor and on the third floor, about 300 metres away. The annex features a lovely garden.
Common facilities include a small lobby, a reception open at set times (08.00am to 11.00pm), a safe deposit box, a luggage room, an elevator and a breakfast room.
Free Wi-Fi is available in the common areas and in all rooms, while use of the partner garage, about 200 metres away, is not included in the price.

Location was great, staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. There was no extra charge for using the Aircon.
What was bad
They just hung a bag with 2 pastries on our door each morning. Not worth the expense, since you could go out for a nice breakfast at a cafe for the same price.
