74 reviewsMy husband and I are frugal travelers, We try to find bargains to keep costs low so we can travel more...so, AMM Suite checked all the boxes for us to be happy with our choice to stay here. For the price ( much less than the hotels right in the tourist part of Rome) it was great..the room was very pretty...I loved the mural on the vaulted ceiling- nice touch. The bed was comfortable. There was fresh air from the 2 windows that overlooked the interior garden area...the black out curtain worked well to keep light out in the morning. There was good closet space, with full length mirror, the bathroom was a nice size with good water temp and pressure, an excellent hair dryer, the fridge and coffee station functioned well, and the maid service was very efficient. My husband enjoyed going down 1 floor to the outside garden area to smoke. The internet connection was excellent and free. The location was fine for us, we did not mind the lack of curb appeal...they can’t help that the city trash bins were placed a bit close to them...but the closeness to the Metro, which we used often, was handy. We often walked the 15 minutes to enjoy the views and ambiance of the Colosseum..and a little further to the Trajan Column area... both magical places,especially at night all lit up. Giovanni, who met us when we arrived, was super friendly and helpful! He gave us a map, acclimated us, gave us his phone #, and we really felt safe and like we had a sturdy home base for our stay in Rome. He recommended many things to do and see that we enjoyed. He arranged our transfer to the port of Civitavecchia when we left, and we appreciate his helpfulness. We work in hotels, and feel we don’t need constant reception, doormen, all that...the room was very secure...needing 4 keys to get from street to bed, and the room had a safe. So, I would definitely recommend AMM Suite if you are travelling on a budget and don’t need all the bells & whistles that fully staffed official hotels come with, and have the ability and initiative to get around to all the tourist sites by yourself. We really were satisfied with our 4 day booking at AMM Suite.
