It is a great location at the gates of the town of Randazzo.The structure is well managed by Mr Scrivano and sons, and ask Mr Antonio Mannino who can advise you on the typical dishes of the area.

I've been to this castle with friends tonight it's new year's day I have to say it's been more than a positive experience the food is fantastic and abundant the staff is very nice I can't say good both of the structure and the owners who made us feel at home

New year 2016/2017

We had a good location, but we were not assigned a room. In the bathroom we lacked the bidé, the shower tent, a shelf, the toilet table, the speakerphone; in the room we didn't even have a dressing room with a lamp (at night we had to get up in the dark), the television couldn't be connected to the electrical network (or the television or the decoder).

Disappointment!

I was at Castello Romeo in September for a one-night work meeting. The place is really beautiful, at the foot of the Etna and in a very quiet area. Comfortable rooms with vintage furniture. If you are looking for a luxury hotel, it is not the place for you, but if you want to experience the thrill of being in a beautiful Sicilian villa where even queens and princes have passed, don't miss this opportunity.

A charming place

Castello Romeo has a special charm that strikes you from the access road. It has a wonderful park, the rooms are furnished in style and are really spacious and well maintained. The owners are people of exquisite kindness... they lost some of their time telling us about the history of the castle and giving us precious advice on places to visit. We dined at their restaurant (which is located in Randazzo) and here too they really deserve so many compliments for the dishes proposed! For one night I felt like a princess!

A fairy tale castle!

The closing evening for my PERAEGRINUS guests was to be something special. Then enthusiastic about the culinary culture at the Scrivano restaurant in Randazzo, we decided to choose the Castello Romeo (rented by the Scrivanos). We were not disappointed, on the contrary. The Ambiente - a palace with the decadent charm of the epoch Vittorio Emanueles (he spent his summer vacations there himself!) - excited my clients. Then the reception with the chefs in Weiss and the Servier staff, as well as a Sicilian music and dance group. The food as expected consisted of more love and care (the antipasti put everything back in the closet), the wine, the care of service: it was an opportunity for me to drink and even the opportunity to enjoy the evening, which was a chance for them to enjoy their own special dance.

Surprise among vineyards

this was the second nights stay for our group who enjoyed themselves here. we added some local musicians to come anfd place and had a couple of flagons of vino sfuso to help lubricate the entertainment. 
the food was good here and overall the group had a good time. 
i would definately recommend this hotel but please do not expect 5* luxury, its got lots of character.

Great for the group

I booked a room at this old manor house outside Randazzo, in middle October, 2012,  because it looked so very attractive and interesting.  One must check in at the Hotel Scrivano in downtown Randazzo.  When I arrived at the Scrivano, I was told that I was the only reservation for Castello Romeo, and that I would have to stay at the Scrivano instead (not exactly bait-and-switch, but close), for the same price.  Although I understand, the Scrivano didn’t look to me like a good alternative.  The Scrivano is located on the busy main street of Randazzo in the heart of the city.  It is exceptionally busy, loud and grid-locked much of the time.  I asked for a quiet room, and was assured that the second floor was very quiet.  That it was not.  Traffic noise continued through the night.  There is a large patio adjacent to the rooms, but sitting there was not pleasant.  The foyer and adjacent restaurant were absolutely packed by people on a tour to Mt. Etna, and the morning breakfast was quite unpleasant with the loud crowd and backpacks everywhere.  The price was much too high for the poor quality of this place.  I should mention that one or two of the people working the reception area were friendly and helpful.  Overall, I was highly disappointed with this place and wouldn’t consider returning under any circumstances.  I’d rather lay out my sleeping bag in the park.  The Scrivano is no Castello Romeo.  Don’t make the same mistake I did.
