I don't want to waste my time and get nervous thinking about what I had to endure before I decided to change hotel..... to review everything except the structure (intense like walls)... the furniture is old, not old, non-existent services then, if we settle for a used bathtub as well as toilet paper, bathroom without bidet, no brush support etc...

What a terrible experience!

The family room is spacious, with private bathroom; the only 'neo' is that, facing a busy road, it is a bit noisy. It is located in an area very close to one of the entrances to the historic center: 5 minutes by car to get to 'Porta Elisa' and park along the walls, and then be able to visit, in all tranquility, the historic center.

Feeling at home

I was in this B&B with a friend after attending a concert downtown. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was clean and quite new, the furnishings were a bit vintage, but the bed was comfortable. If it wasn't for the cars that scrub all the time, we would have slept really well, but unfortunately the windows in our room were almost on the road. The breakfast was a little scanty, I was looking for water in vain but I couldn't find it (my mistake not to ask maybe).

In this B&B we found a spacious, clean and cozy room. Excellent location (15 minutes' walk from the centre) and excellent quality/price ratio. Negative note: breakfast below expectations (little variety).

The owner, very kindly, accepted our cancellation request despite the cancellation deadlines having expired, understanding our reasons (weather disaster and damage to the car), we will definitely return as soon as possible.

I've been to this B&B for a holiday in Lucca, the room is beautiful in a spacious wooden bed very comfortable. Nothing to say negative.

we stayed there 2 nights. it was cozy and quiet and also clean. the owner is friendly, but gives you also privacy. the breakfast is ok. its close to a very busy street but still quiet. nice old house and near to the old center -20min walk.
wifi is good!

Nice hotel 600 meters from Lucas, with shared bathroom but still very clean, nice owner with a nice breakfast, and a large parking lot across the street from the hotel, with internet.

We had made a reservation in booking.com for Gallo Pappa B & B, however the owner (of both B&Bs) moved us here instead with no prior communication or instructions. We waited at a seemingly abandoned Gallo Pappa for 30mins, and only after asking very friendly locals (with no common language) walking by they let us know where we could find the owner, 5-10 minutes walk away. As my husband left me with the luggage to find the place (we did not have a car) the owner drove up to take us to Domus Clotilde. Owner speaks limited English, as you can expect in smaller establishments.

After checkin we were taken to our room with no air-conditioning or tv. These were on the website (for Gallo Pappa) listed as the amenities as well as toiletries in the shared bathroom. None anywhere to be seen. The power cut out once each evening we were there - once while my husband was having a shower; the shower pump requires electricity.

The place was clean and very pretty, and the breakfast basic but acceptable so that was nice. The bed was very comfortable but extremely creaky, loudest bed ever - even just trying to sleep, forget any other activities. On checkout cash was expected, with no prior mention of this (admittedly, we hadn't asked) and nearest ATM a brisk 5 minute jog away, not fun in the Spanish sun while planning to catch a train another half hour walk away.

We would have appreciated more transparency in what we were getting in to and avoid the confusion and frustration.
