As soon as I got to the building, I didn't find anyone, I contacted the owner and he told me on the phone how to open the door and get in, the beautiful interior, it's in a narrow and poorly lit alley. Unfortunately there was no wifi, there was no water at night, the sheets were dirty and unchanged, he didn't make us find breakfast like a contract, and the roof of the bedroom was very noisy when there were no tiles in the cover, but the mattress.

Disappointing stay

Destroyed vacation!

I relied on reviews of a booking site being more recent but I will never trust myself again. I don't know if it was worse the behavior of the host that for the entire duration of the stay he didn't even get alive (even for the delivery of the keys I had to call him and he asked me to leave them at the front closet), or the overlooked structure both in the cleaning and in the so-called comfort promises on the booking site.

But seriously?

I stayed one night in this B&B and was very disappointed. Even from the first approach with the owner I found discrepancies in my arrival time. In fact, despite arriving at the place after a journey of about six hundred kilometers, on my arrival the owner had to wait for almost an hour. Also, around 6.30 pm, the room had not yet been cleaned and both the bed sheets and the towels were missing. Following my protests, only the bed was prepared and 3 towels were made available. From breakfast in the room not even the shade, I demanded however that I be corrected in a nearby bar. The overall assessment of the structure in my opinion is bad. If I had to return to Czaratan I would definitely not go to this structure on this day.

Poor living room

We booked the room in this building on the advice of a friend. Faults: the walls of the rooms were in some places scratched and wet; the boiler was constantly blocking; the thermophones in the room where my mother slept were losing water; the water box, without a tablet, made a ridiculous noise; breakfast included expired shorts; the laundry consisted of a single sheet.) Fortunately, on the phone the owner Gaetano told me that this was a refurbished apartment six months ago! In my bedroom there was no television! I honestly will not return to the apartment. They should take extra care and attention to the customers.

Extremely disappointing

Booked by booking.com. Only reason was they said they have safe parking for 7 Euros per day. Sent a message via booking.com asking for OFF STREET PARKING and got a reply back that it is granted. On 25th March 2019 we discovered that the place is not accessible by car. My husband stayed in the car, I walked and rang the bell numerous times of the door that said, "B & B Centro Storico" on a tiny piece of wood. Finally called and the guy named Gayatano said, "Oh, I will come out now". He came out from an ADJACENT building and stood on the street blocking the alley so that we can park our car on a spot that is FREE for ALL. He took us behind the building from where he had emerged and we entered into a moldy, basement apartment with loose tiles, freezing cold, mold everywhere and dirty. He was so happy to declare that it was an UPGRADE. He then asked with his google translator for me to cancel with booking.com so that they do not have to pay the tax. I refused. Paid by American Express. The place had ONE bed but he said, "It is all yours, no other people". Did he expect my husband and I to sleep with someone else on the same bed? My booking.com description clearly said the room comes with a kitchen. There was a kitchen with nothing to cook with and two dirty pieces of cloth. He freaked out when I mentioned about cooking and said, "No, No, No, no cooking at all. Only tea and coffee". "Very good breakfast" consists of three pieces of plastic wrap white bread. In the dirty refrigerator there were 3 bottles of semi used jams. On the table there was a vase of dead, rotten flowers to "welcome" us! The toilet had no seat or cover. Mold was everywhere. When I asked about heat I was told to use the extra blanket which turned out to be DIRTY with either vomit stains or some sexual activities remainder. He finally turned a wall heater on which turned out to be totally insufficient and was also told to turn it off during night. Next morning I got an e-mail from booking.com that they were told by the property that I did not show up. I contacted booking.com, explained everything and sent them all the photos, and got 25 Euro as a compensation. Booking.com is investigating the property.

Horribly disappointing

Excellent price, in the historic center very suggestive area, characteristic entrance with stone finishes, spacious, cozy and clean rooms, functional services, heating and hot water a bomb; the spacious, clean kitchen, with every accessory, precious finishes, the real flower at the top - the kitchen. I recommend this experience on Catanzaro to anyone who passes by those parts, two steps from the center and therefore well connected to any kind of activity. Last but not least: very courteous manager and attentive to every request.

A not negative experience much more, after regularly booking and returning to the place I found people who already occupied and resided in the apartment we were destined for, after several phone calls the owner proposed another apartment, the keys of which were delivered to us by the owner of a store located in front of the apartment itself, the property although not even presented to deliver the keys, and although he gave us an apartment that did not comply with our first request, that is, an apartment only for us and not shared with other people, he had the courage to give us the property, then the payment of the whole week although he never refused to give us unless to verify the conditions of complaint, stating that he had not even presented us and what we have said, and although he did not present us and so much as we have said, he did not want to answer the phone, and he never made us pay attention to us, so he never sent us a complaint, and he did not want to answer the phone, and he did not want to make us feel sorry for us, so he never sent us a complaint.
