Stayed in the Watergate apartments with a group of 16. A big thanks to Ciara for the help getting sorted and Arif during our stay, nothing was a problem. Would highly recommend if looking for accomodation for a large group in Kilkenny. 

Great accommodation for large groups 

We had dinner as part of a hen party this weekend 08/07/23. To say I have never been to a restaurant and pub that had such bad food and service.. 2 people had to send back cesar salads last night as the chicken even smelled gone off and one cesar salad came out with no chicken at all ... All the other food that was served was burnt...
The main course was brought out before starters were even cleaned up from the table and then random dishes were brought to the 3 tables we had, instead of serving one table first and completing it...

The pub itself had an awful odour for the whole night..

Overall I would 100% not recommend this place as part of a package for hen parties... Was totally disappointed. 

Worst experience ever!

This was the best hostel I’ve ever been to. It was so clean and comfortable. Very easy to feel at home. The sheets were white and clean and so we’re the towels. One of the best in Kilkenny. You should definitely do yourself a favor and choose this hostel if you’re in the area.

Definitely go!

This hostel was in a great location in Kilkenny, right across from the pub by the same name and on a street of shops and restaurants. It was recently redone, clean and comfy, and the staff was very welcoming.

Perfect Location

This was my first time staying in a hostel and it definitely set the bar high! The hostel has been recently renovated so everything is up to date and very clean. The room I was in wasn’t filled completely but even if it was there would be plenty of space for everyone. There were also two full bathrooms connected to room which was super convenient. This hostel exceeded my expectations!

Clean and Spacious!

This was my first hostel stay and it was great! The room was booked for our whole group so we were all together. It was newly renovated and was not what I expected a hostel to be like, but better! The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you have a chance you should go down to their bar which is right in front of the hostel! Perfect location in Kilkenny and is surrounded by many stores for things you may need extra of for your trip.

Great place to stay!

This was my first time staying at a hostel and it was amazing! I was able to get closer with my friends and the rooms were so nice! The staff are extremely friendly and it’s in a good area too!!! Definitely a good place to stay since you’re near so many shops and restaurants

amazing place to stay!

Booked Lanigans apartments for a hen party on the bank holiday weekend and it was perfect. I don’t think the pictures do them any justice. The apartment was spotless and so comfortable with loads of space. There were 2 bathrooms which with a house full of women was perfect. Couldn’t fault it and if we needed anything we contacted them and they were on hand going above and beyond to accommodate us. Ciara was especially helpful only a phone call away. The apartment was within walking distance of all that was going on in the city which was ideal for us. 

We also had a meal in the bar which was part of what we had booked for the hen the party, it was so lovely too. Would recommend, especially to big groups who want to have easy access to all the city has to offer.

Nice pub, we were going to eat here but agressive barman with very bullying attitude made us decide to leave. Lovely waitress though  Tracey, but will not return ever. Unless Tracey is in charge. No need for the attitude of the Barman.

I stayed in Lanigans hostel with 7 of my friends last weekend for 2 nights and we all loved it! The rooms are large and spacious, 2 bathrooms, lovely and modern. The room was spotless and in a perfect location bang smack in the heart of Kilkenny. 
But honestly what made our stay so memorable was the staff member Arif. He couldn't do enough for us and he was just in general exactly the kind of friendly helpful front of house that every establishment should have. 

Thanks again. We will definitely be back soon!
