We stayed for two days at this establishment during our stay in Ireland. First of all, this hotel is ideally located in the heart of Connemara. The building has an undeniable seal with its glass that promises very cocooning starry evenings. We found the reception very pleasant. Our room was spacious, well equipped and very clean. Big bonus for common areas, the kitchen is ideal. It is very convenient to have a refrigerator and something to prepare for a road trip.

I liked the vibe of this place. Not like your typical hotel. Stayed here with husband and 4 year old child for 2 nights in August. Very comfortable beds and relaxing bedroom, funky decor, ugh industrial-type carpet. But clean. Didn't like the bathroom, felt hostel-like or even like a sports grounds changing room (all tiled and grout was grubby looking, shower over bath, basic toilet and sink, noisy fan which was needed as no window) and could do with a makeover (daylight needed....could imagine glass blocks, bright or dark colours with warm lighting, big shower, lose the bath, lose the tiles). 
Loved the breakfast which had lots of variety and plentiful.
Very nice relaxing common room which looked great at night, hammocks, fairy lights....
Charged €25 extra per night for child which in hindsight I felt was excessive. 
However we enjoyed and felt comfortable, relaxed and well fed and would stay again.

Short walk to city centre with at least two good restaurants pubs and supermarket. Good choice at continental breakfast, coffee especially good. Sky road well worth a drive. Staff very friendly, large car park

Comfortable, clean spacious

It is what it is and and does its thing well.  This is not and Olde Worlde Irish farmhouse and the rooms are quite modern and basic in their design but thats what this former hostel set out to create.  The bed was one of the nicest we slept on during our time in Ireland.  The breakfast is buffet style and is an offering of cold snacks and pastries.  We found this a welcome change from the cooked breakfasts we had had before.  It is an ideal place to explore Clifden and a good starting point to enter Connemara.

Comfy Bed, Nice Size Room

Wanted to stay in Clifden and having stayed in Ashford Castle the night before wanted something a little alternative and didn’t want a fancy hotel, not that there are any fancy hotels in Clifden!! This hotel was originally a hostel and as an hotel it is pretty basic but have to say a little quirky!! I think it’s a little overpriced for what it is.

Connemara trip

We stayed at this hotel for two days and it was very nice. We were quiet, the room was clean and enough for four. The breakfast buffet is a killing spree and there's plenty of common space including one with a hammock and social games.

This is a great hotel.

Comfortable hotel, where we stayed for 2 days, well located, quiet, walking from the centre of Clifden, nicely furnished rooms, proper bathroom, not too much light yet welcoming, good breakfast, cozy and varied.

When you visit the Connemara, you walk a lot, and in the evenings you're happy to find a comfortable, spacious room with a nice bathroom.

Visiting the Connemara

We booked the accommodation through booking and charm. Its style is informal, but with all the amenities. The location is ideal, if you don't mind walking 5' to the centre of Cliffden. Very quiet and noisy of any kind. The room is simple but very clean, spacious and with everything necessary. The care of the staff is excellent (they helped us a lot with a small problem we had with the rental car).

An excellent option in Cliffden

It's a hotel that feels kind of like a hostel, with a quirkily decorated upstairs common room for reading or playing games and a comfortable gathering spot for breakfast or a glass of wine or beer. Our room was comfortable. The decor is modern and spare. Everyone was friendly. Cold breakfast but with lots of options. The Inn to the West made for a good, restful night. Would have enjoyed hanging out a bit more to take advantage of the common room.
