The Happy Monkey is located in the center of Ubud, 2 minutes from the market. It's only one room but really clean and with privacy. It's one of the cheapest hostel around Ubud and the breakfast is also included.

Small but good

This is only the second time I've stayed in a hostel so I've not got much to compare with. The fittings are not the most up to date but it's clean and the shared area is decorated with local trendy stuff. The bedding is clean and the mattresses are comfortable enough. All the staff have been very helpful with advice and booking things with Yevin (I'm not sure of spelling) being very friendly asking questions and giving advice. I won't be visiting Ubud again but if I did I would stay here again. 

Clean and friendly. 

It's a single bedroom room with 8 or 10 beds but very spacious. The beds are spacious, have their own lamps, plugs and curtains to keep privacy. When I left it was 80,000 rupees at night but they were going to increase the price. It included a simple breakfast of coffee or tea and pancakes with banana. There was Monkey Forest Street that just faced that place, it was a 10-minute walk away. A few blocks away you can find crowded bars, with good food and, sometimes, live music. It's also near a market. I found it comfortable and good, and I liked that it had a mini living room and that there was a bar/table that looked like the street.

Well, pretty and cheap.

The reason why we picked this hostel was the fact that this hostel was bang on the Monkey forest road from where majority of the places in Ubud is close by. It has a one room which has around 12-14 beds with curtains, plug points etc. They provide locker facility as well along with WiFi. One disadvantage that one might face here is the fact that there is only one bathroom (incl. toilet) for the dorm. Breakfast is not included in the package, but has a small kitchen which can be used by the inmates to make something if reqd.

Centrally located one room dorm hostel

Great little hostel on the Main Street of Ubud. Only 10 beds pod/capsule style beds with curtains and a power socket as well as a light for each of them. Comfy beds, and the shower had hot water. Wifi wasn't bad either. $60,000/night ($6) and well worth it. Did not include breakfast.

Small and cozy

The cost of one night is really cheap, with cozy bed and clean room, you get private space with curtain. I stayed one night, the location is awesome, close to ubud market also other store. One thing to be inconvenient is they only have one bathroom so it always waiting.

Good value

The hostel has only one room with eight beds. Each bed has a curtain so you can have your privacy, and each has its own outlet. The internet works well. The location is in the Jalan Monkey Forest, near the football field and therefore very central. There is a small balcony where you can follow the drive on the street with a beer. If you wish, there is breakfast in the morning.
