I'm giving this 2-3 star hotel 5 stars. It is what it is and it is very good at that. It's a perfect little beach hotel and restaurant/bar. Simple. Unpretentious. Perfect. The food was amongst the best we have had in Bali. Lunch and afternoon was busiest of course, with beachgoers. I wish more people could discover it for dinner. Lipah Beach is excellent for snorkeling. The sunrise is amazing. Just be aware that the hotel has nothing to do with the beach. There are "attendants" on the beach who will ask for 50K rupiah for use of the beach chairs. The massage ladies were great, especially at 150K for a massage! Be sure to rent snorkel gear, also from a local. We went out on a 2 hour boat trip to the Japanese shipwreck and other good snorkel spots. Fortunately the hotel was happy to charge my credit card in exchange for cash so I could pay him. If I must search for a criticism, it's that the mattress was very hard. Otherwise, a great experience.
