80 reviewsCalled in here as it it 2 minute easy walk from the villa we are staying in. The entire area was suffering an electricity cut which was likely last 2-3 hours. As we walked upstairs we were approached by Made, we asked about food and he explained that because of no electricity he could only do grilled calamari with chips, but could supply the all important accompaniment of cold beers as the fridge was still cold. Beers arrived very swiftly, lots of chopping sounds coming from kitchen area, and then Made served us calamari and chips.....now this sounds boring....far from it, it was the tastiest calamari I’ve ever had, in a beautiful garlic, caramelised onion (hint of chilli) and butter sauce with accompanying vegetables (which were equally tasty). Thoroughly enjoyed this meal, this young man knows how to put food together even in very adverse circumstances, will I go there again...without doubt Oh did I mention he’s a thoroughly nice guy as well 🙂
