We moved into Suki,s cottage after leaving another hotel. We had stayed at Suki,s home stay before. The cottage was spotless and if we needed anything we just had to ask. The location is near Sumudra beach. Suki and his wife are very helpful and friendly but not intrusive at all. Cottage was cleaned and sheets etc changed regularly. They even put some washing through the machine for us! We were also treated to lovely meal before leaving to carry on with our trip! Would we stay again, of course! Sumudra area was still very quiet after covid with very few western tourists around at all. Let's hope trade picks up soon for them again!

Repeat stay after a hotel disaster

spent a month in the downstairs apartment. Location very handy for Sumudra beach, supermarkets and restaurants. Not near lighthouse beach but you can walk or tuk tuk there too. Suki and Tulese the hosts are very kind and keep a good clean home.
Apartment cleaned every 3 days and all linen changed. Enough cooking things to do breakfast or small meals however, cheap enough to eat out. Cheaper to get transport from rank outside curry pot than outside taj gates. Lovely local village if you turn right out of the property. Only remark is one of the plug sockets in kitchen could do with replacing or cleaning otherwise everything was lovely. We would return with no hesitation.

Excellent apartment (not a room!). Very clean and spacious: one bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, living room. Very nice garden. Friendly and kind owners. Small problems with WiFi, but it worked in the end (the TV did not but we did not care much). Located 7-8 min walk from the beach (Samudra beach, Kovalam beach about 15 min by tuk-tuk). Several excellent restaurants around. Very good value for money!

Good place, good host, great location, everything you need!
Price/quality ratio is by far one of the highest in the area. Taxi stand directly on the corner of the street. Bonus is the kitchen, and there is a supermarket relatively close by. Solid choice!

good things, right next to taj vivanta gate, place is run by a couple, 
aunty, prepares fresh breakfast, south indian, food, the place is 100 meters to the beach, it is a one bedroom apartment,, with air conditioning, the price tag is 2500/ for the night, with 300 for breakfast for the entire family of 4, which is quite cheap. compared to the rest of the neighborhood which will cost you easy 1000/, good clean bathroom, with running hot/cold water 24 hours, good clean bedsheets, towels, and bathroom stuff, like soap etc..
kitchen is basic, but u can cook, heat stuff, so if u are looking for a vacation this is place to stay, the place also has a gated parking, so safe parking, if u are driving down.. one thing i like about this place is why stay in taj or a samudra for 12000/ a night when u can save some much and use that money to spend on other things

there was no TV in room , but that ok, we came to spend some quality family time, it was good the tv was not there

There is no wifi, who wants the internet, i came on a vacation to spend time with my family

We had a lovely little appartment on the first floor. It was very clean, good working airco in the bedroom and a nice balcony. The homestay is located on a quiet little road close to the beach and some of Kovalams best little restaurants. The owners are very pleasant.
The only thing it lacked was some  complimentary bottles of water. Very unusual for India where there is always free water for foreign tourists.

We were in this b&b in March last year,excellent quality/price ratio,discreet location.The apartments are very clean and very spacious.Mr.Sukesan is a wonderful person, he even bought us and brought us everything we needed for a very good breakfast and he is a very sweet and very nice man.
