The views from the room and terrace was fabulous and the staff was very helpful specially the lady from the reception I don't know her name was very humble and helpful even when at late they didn't had any room service she cleaned up our room.

Nice view, decent staff

Hotel's location is at walking distance from the center of Gangtok and it has home like atmosphere. Food is good at nice price, however, manager Tanmay Sinha is a kind of greedy fellow who charged me for breakfast despite it was included in my pre booking payment.

An average experience

I stayed there with my family for 2 nights/ 3 days and what I can say from my experience is that this is a decent hotel. Modest in its exterior looks, the good part about the hotel is its manager who takes care of his guests and arranges everything to the extent possible. The hotel lobby is beautiful; the dining area is nice and rooftop gives a beautiful view of the city. Other than this, the rooms had no ventilation, the food is average at best and there is acute shortage of staff. While dinning, there would be no one to take care of your needs. The boy who is incharge of dinning and other day to day stuff is much unorganized. Once he called us for dinner saying that dinner was ready and made us wait for good 45 mins in the dining area. Whenever we requested him for some help or ordered something, it would never be done or we had to wait much longer even after sending couple of reminders. The TV switch were broken in one of our rooms, rooms were not cleaned everyday, bathrooms are too small in some rooms and hotel is located a bit inside with a road that is a very steep slope. All in all, a very average hotel.

Well....don't expect much!!!

Our room was clean but overpriced. The toilet was broken so we mended it ourselves. The bedding was clean but the bed is very hard. 
In the evening we ordered a beer and it was frozen solid, and only about half the beer was in the bottle! The manager said it would thaw in 10 minutes... that's just not acceptable. Because the bottle was opened we had to pay for it. Not ok. 
Butter dish at breakfast was filthy though otherwise the restaurant was clean. The young staff are very sweet and helpful but we never really felt comfortable there. It ended up being over £20 a night which is too much.
