Natures Nest Sancordem Goa, weekend getaway from city .

Natures Nest was a good location for a weekend getaway for our  Family of two adults and two kids. 
The office team ( Mr Mirjoy)) communicated with us in a clear way and answered our queries before reaching the location. 
The team at the location Managed by Mr Abhijeet made us feel comfortable throughout our stay . 
We enjoyed the delicious authentic Goan dishes prepared by the chef and the chilled beer which was well served. None of the dishes including the barbecue were excessively spicy and our kids enjoyed every bit of it. 
Our naturalist Mr Raghu was patient , shared good knowledge and made every activity an enjoyable one. We saw how he tried his best to deliver his best . The sighting of the Mugger crocodile with the help of Mr Ramesh Zarmekar  snd Mr Raghu and the spotting of the Night Jar came to us as a surprise. For the Slender Lorris and the Frog Mouth we will come back again . MrUday was patient and handled the Jeep well . 
Our two days were well spent with several sightings and pleasant memories. 
We wish the team all the best in keeping up their good work. 
Advise to travellers : kindly share the reception phone number with your relatives as the local networks are absent in the campus. WiFi in the restaurant/ reception  was available at all times .

Weekend family getaway January 2024

Wonderful relaxing and tranquil place. We booked 2 nights in the middle of our beach holiday, the staff we wonderfully attentive and the night and day jeep safaris were really enjoyable and we got to see a number of animals, really good to have some peace and calm in the middle of our holiday. Highly recommend! 

Tranquil oasis with excellent staff

We visited Natures Nest Goa in December 2023 around Christmas and as to our surprise, the property was much more than we expected. The cottages have contemporary feel with ethnicity. The food is simple yet authentic. The network is unstable once you enter the buffer area of the sanctuary so downloading offline map is recommended. The best part of the resort I believe is the various nature activities that they offer. You can include in your package that are totally worth it

BEST off beat destination in GOA

The most caring Nature's Nest!

We were a family of 15 looking for a quiet getaway from the year-end Goa tourist invasion. We could not have found a better "nest" for all ages ranging from 10 to 88! Right from the very first phone call, helmed by MIRJOY at the Sales Office, we felt cared for. He patiently enabled our big family have the most memorable time by ensuring our diverse needs were met by their able and enthusiastic staff on-site. Care was taken while allocating cottages according to accessibility and family size.

At the Resort, young staffers like RAM, ROHIT, BHAKTI went out of their way to personalise our experience at every step. The cottages were clean, well-maintained and comfortable. The food the biggest highlight and most looked forward to! Simple, local, delicious with an astounding variety in veg food! 

Of all the activities, the birding walks, esp the one conducted by the delightfully knowledgeable RAMESH with his child-like enthusiasm was the best! Our 10yr old loved the plantation walk the most. To conclude, the entire on-site staff led by ABHIJEET made us feel that 2nights-3days wasn't enough, and that we will be back for more :)

Another wonderful trip with Nature India - Mr Mandar Khadilkar !!! Was introduced to unexplored central Goa forests and birds... Varities of shrikes, leaf birds, sunbirds, horn bills, trogons, thick billed flowerpecker, lorrikets, barbets, flycatchers, nightjars, frogmouth, wooly necked storks, blue eared kingfisher, woodpeckers and plenty of water birds and waders... The best was the night trail to spot the brown fish owl and amazing sighting of civet cat !!! Thanks to naturalist Mr Ramesh Zarmekar from Goa, who made most of our trails very successful !!! Of course our birders' group that included 14yrs old youngest enthusiast to senior citizens,  made all the trails so memorable !!! Not a dull moment !!! Sudden change in weather with rains simply added beauty to already beautiful forests !!!
And the stay with Nature's nest at Surla Sancordem was icing on the cake... What a beautiful lush green campus with varities of plantation... Hundreds of sunbirds, drongos, leafbirds, bulbuls were residents at Natures nest...The magic bubble spring was such a relaxing experience...The wood cottages give us forest experience but we are also pampered with modern amenities...the warm hospitality and food with local flavours tingles our taste buds...

Natures best staff is cooperating helping and professional. There food is excellent and tasty. 
Speciality is chicken kadipatta

Excellent place. Staff are very supportive and friendly. There are lots of nature trail organised by them. We did two of them which was very informative. Place is clean and food is delicious. Value to money.

Best place to stay with Nature 

NN is a quaint place situated next to Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary. 
Our purpose of visit was to explore nature. When you reach out to NN for booking, you can inquire about various activities that NN offers. 

Key points:-
# Staff: - The staff is the biggest asset of NN. Special shout out to Abhijit, Swanand, Angarika and Rohit who are the naturalists at NN. Amazingly hard working and tried their best to make the activities worthwhile and informative.  
# Location & Rooms:-  Property is easy to find. You need to put the place on gmaps in advance as closer to the property you do not get phone network. BSNL is the only network that works. There is wifi but the speed is basic but wats app etc works and you can send/receive messages. Calling will be an issue due to the lack of bandwidth. The cottages are decently sized. Since this is in the middle of the forest, do not expect any 'luxurious' amenities. No intercom , TV etc. (but you wouldn't come here if you want to watch TV). 
Carry mosquito repellent, torch. 
# Activities:- Few activities are complimentary such as plantation walk, nature walk & others are chargeable basis what you want to do. Since we visited during monsoon, birding and night safari was not ideal, hence, we did a full day herping trail. This was first time we were doing it and thanks to Swanand , it was wonderful. You can also visit a very famous Shiva temple called Tambadi  Surla Mahadev temple. 
# Food:- If you like local Goan cuisine, then you are in for a treat. Restaurant staff is good & helpful. One thing i would like to suggest to NN management is to keep a 'dal' or 'sabzi' for people like me who are bit choosy when it comes to food. 

Overall NN is a great place for nature lovers. & would definitely come back during non-monsoon time.



Nature's Nest = Nice & Natural 

This will be a long review as we want to express our gratitude to the team :).

When trying to book an experience in Goa, we came across NN as something very different then what you generally look for when planning a Goa trip. And to our surprise, this was an amazing find for us which gave us good memories to cherish. 

Our main aim for the trip was to experience birding, as we had read many reviews regarding the same. The morning trails were amazing, Vitthal (The Naturalist) took to two of such trails and it was very informative. We did spot some birds and we were happy :) . Just walking in that surroundings was enough for me, being away from the daily city life and the stress. Vitthal also took us for the Night Safari and it was a first time experience for, we loved it. He patiently answered all our stupid questions!
Plantation walk was another informative experience thanks to Rohit.

Location: The resort is in Surla, near Tambdi Surla temple and Mollem.

How to reach : We went by road took us around 9hours from Pune. Train is also a good option. You may get down at Madgao and take Taxi or reach out to NN for arranging transport for pickup.

Network: There is no phone signal/network around NN since it is in the buffer zone of Bhagwan Mahaveer Wildlife Sanctuary. So maps usually hang up. Within NN, they have wifi. But you dont really need internet when you are in NN. There is no TV also.

Property: It is very rustic and peaceful. They have 8 cottages, look basic from outside but on the inside the interiors are really good. The bubble spring is another place to go and sit for some peace time. The area is all lush green.

Food: Delicious local goan food. We really liked the Bhindi in goan curry, had it for the first time. 

Staff: Special thanks to Vitthal, Rohit, Abhijeet and the Kokum Tree Staff for great hospitality. You are doing a great job in making the guest feel at home. This experience gave me inspiration to do more study.

Activities: Morning trail, sunset trail, plantation walk, safaris, fungi trail, tambdi surla outing and waterfall trek, and many more. You can contact NN for further info.

All in all this was a very peaceful and relaxing experience. Plus you also get to understand the fauna and flora around and how NN and Planet Life are working to protect it.

We are definitely visiting again. Thank you NN and wildlife team.

I am interested in Birding and came to stay for 1 night with my son.
Ambience, food, service in the resort was great. They arranged a knowledgeable guide for the bird walk. Found several birds in and around the resort too which was great.
Overall a great resort in a serene location.
