I saw a pug mark, a few 750 meters from our resort. It couldnt have been a kitten, definitely larger than a dog. I was so excited that i wanted to run to Vilas and Vivek to boast of my discovery. Then i changed my mind. I didnt want Vivek to make fun of my childish enthusiasm.

The next night i was told that a leapord was seen wandering.

So it was quite a coincidence that we stayed at Pugmark resort at Kanha. The place is full of local charm and our host was a delight. Where else do you stay after 6 hours of jungle safari only to end the day with amazing tiger tales. Our host was a pro, a great story teller. He would get goosebumps with every tiger question we put to him. And he would answer with such pride, a pride that comes with years and years of guide experience. This space should not be used to tell his stories. Travellers going to Kanha must live here and hear the stories themselves.Our resort stone thow distance from the Kanha jungle safari gate. Our host himself drove us around in his fleet of gypsies.

What fun. What amazing fun. Reviews will never match the thrill and actual experiencing.

Food was good, rooms were clean, guests were pampered. What else can you ask from a resort. More than just a pleasant stay. And for pool lovers, the premises has a swimming pool too! Thank you Rahul ji and may you delight your customers as you have delighted me. Im coming back to Kanha for sure in the future. Hold my room.

Rooms are maintained well along with greenery on the garden with best vibe and the swimming pool adds to the beauty of the resort.
Meals were fantastic. Really enjoyed the stay at the place and highly recommend to try it out. Already waiting for the next visit.

property is located in a village, and main reason for staying here is to be as close as possible to Khatiya Gate. room is big and comfortable with AC. there is option to include or exclude meal plan during the stay. swimming pool looks clean and inviting.

The best place to stay i suggest...home like feeling  room are neat and clean they avail everything you need even food ,staff members are very good...Rahul and noorul ji were very helpful they even guided us to Safari.... Healthy Environment 

Like everyone we did check the reviews and asked friends who have been to Kanha to suggest a good place to stay. From multiple sources- Pugmark is only one that stood out. 
The hospitality and the promt behaviour of the host (Rahul) and the staffs are exceptional. The place is heaven for wildlife photographers. Hardly 600-700 meters away from Kisli gate makes it convenient for the safaris. Both Rahul (host) and Nurool (guide) are passionate wildlife enthusiasts which makes the entire trip unforgettable.
Special kudos to the staffs. Starting from the blanket or warm water for the safaris in a cold morning to wishing us all the best for the safari (every time without fail) or holding a glass water next to the gypsy after we are back from a tiring safari is exceptional.

Nice, comfortable and clean rooms with lots of well maintained garden areas along with swimming pool. Also situated just beside the jungle which will make nature lovers like us feel happy and refreshed. Staff members are very much polite and nice which I appreciate very much. Overall, enjoyed a fantastic and memorable stay in this resort. Recommend every forest lover to book this resort whenever visiting Kanha.

An amazing place to stay, if you are in Kanha...Right next to the Kisli gate, Kanha zone is just 3 mins drive from this resort.
Early morning you get their wake up call and you are ready to go for the jeep safaris at 6am.
Excellent service from each and every staff members.When you return from the safari they wait for you right at the gate with a glass of water for each one of you, and ask you about the sighting.

Been to this Resort twice in last six months and will visit everytime I go to Kanha. Location is just wowww. We could hear alarm calls at night outside the resort.
Resort had only 8-10 rooms so peace is guaranteed. Lot of greenery within and outside the resort. Very well maintained.
Resort owner Mr Rahul Yadav Ji, is a naturalist himself. Amazingly helpful and friendly person who will make you feel at home. Staff is also very polite and always ready to help. 

It was a peaceful and homely stay. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well maintained. There is a huge garden with hammocks, and bamboo huts which gives the place an earthy feel. The dining area is large and the service is excellent. Ajay ji and Rakesh ji served delicious food. Nurul ji is the in-house naturalist who took us on one safari and his stories about the jungle are mesmerising. The owner, Rahul ji, and his family are extremely welcoming. Rahul ji also has a vast experience and took us on two safaris. He was thoroughly professional and took great care of us. We left feeling a part of their family. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic and homely experience at Kanha Tiger Reserve.

Peaceful and homely stay with an authentic jungle experience

I stayed in Pugmark with my parents in early March 2022. Rooms are good and food is great. Rahul ji and Noorul ji take good care of guests. The cook ensured that food is cooked according to our specific needs. I also used their safari services. They worked really hard to make sure that we see a tiger and see we did!! Thoroughly enjoyed their services. Would definitely stay here again!!

Pugmark Kanha

We were booked into Pug Mark Resort by Wild Voyager Travels. Been first time travellers to MP jungles, we left the booking part completely to the jungle safari experts & were pleasantly surprised by the well organised stay & excellent safaris. 
Pug Mark is hardly a 5 min drive from Khatiya gate which made it a perfect location for the early winter morning safaris, you can spend that etc minutes in the comfort of a warm room. 
Our safaris were also booked through the resort & very well organised. They pack breakfast for the morning safaris & also provide blankets which are a lifesaver after about 10 mins in a moving open jeep inside the jungle on winter mornings. 
We were accompanied by the resort manager Noorul Hasan on one of our 5 safaris & his dedication to help us spot a tiger as well his knowledge of the Reserve was refreshing. 
The resort is spread over a large area with basic amenities and very clean rooms. It gives a rustic village feel. They light bonfires upon request which was perfect for our 1st week of January chilly evenings. After a tiring morning safari one can lounge around & sun themselves in the hammocks & khatiyas spread around to take maximum advantage of the winter Sun. 
The food served is piping hot, tasteful ,simple & very homelike. You can choose from the options of Indian cuisine though they served us Chinese also one night. Hot chai is provided endlessly upon request. The service guys like Rakesh are ever smiling & always accommodating. 
We interacted with Rahul Yadav & his family & parents who stay onsite & have made the jungles their home. Their love for the jungle shines through which reflects in their knowledge of the surrounding flora & fauna. 
All in all a great 4 day & 5 happy safaris stay.

Perfect stay close to Khatiya Gate Kanha

Myself Sunil Mantri  along with my wife Jyoti and Friend Dr. Debajit N Sarkar and his wife Mrs. Bidisha Sarkar stayed at Pug Mark on 11, 12 and 13  November 2021 in room no. 101 and 102 respectively.  The rooms were neat, clean and fresh with excellent facilities. Rahulji Yadav and his team comprising of Santosh, Jeevan, Noorul and the chef Dinesh took excellent care of us and made our stay memorable with personal touches at so many  places and on many occassions. 

On the day of arrival it was cold and being from Mumbai we were feeling the cold. We requested Santosh of our problem and within five minutes Santosh came with two heaters. On another occassion we were having food and he served us 
dry coconut chatni. It was so delicious that I couldn't resist asking for more again and again and later requested if he could pack some for both the families. Mrs. Rahul Yadav who had prepared the chutney ensure that we got the chutney packed separately when we left. 

The food and other refreshments served during our stay, the linens and cleanliness of the rooms and washrooms were excellent and super. 

We arrived at Pugmark on November 11 after a long journey from Pachmarhi. The Location of the resort, the cottages on the resort, the greenery on the resort made us feel fresh. Added to this was the warm welcome extended by Santosh with a glass of water and tea a few minutes later. Rahulji  was himself present and helped us complete the formalities in few minutes and immediately arranged for lunch for us which was served with lots of personal touches and love. The cottages were neat, clean and tidy with fresh linens. 

We took the safari on two days viz on evening of November 12 and morning of November 13. The first safari on November 12We could see tigress Dhawajhandi female (DJ) for around  4 minutes all because of Noorul  who took us at the right place at the right time. Noorul's knowledge of flora, fauna and the Kanha Jungle is excellent and much  better  than the official guides allotted by the forest department. He truly justifies and symbolises the term "Naturalist".  Many thanks and appreciation to Dinesh, Santosh and Jeevan for the thoughtfulness of preparing and packing the breakfast comprising Parathas, Sandwitches  and hot tea  on November 13, 2021 which was served by Noorul. Thank you Noorul for the all the efforts taken by you, Dinesh, Santosh and jeevan for making the safari so very successful, fruitful and enjoyable. 

Interacting with Rahulji was an experience that we will cherish forever. He is very very knowledgeable about nature, environment, forest and animals.  He made the visits to the jungle very fruitful by updating and making us aware of the jungle, behaviour of the animals specifically the tigers. We shall remain indebted to Rahulji and Noorulji for this unforgettable experience. God bless the entire team at Pug Mark led by Rahulji for giving this memorable and blissful stay and tiger sighting.   

Special thanks to Mrs. Rahul for providing us with the groundnut chutney and the food during our stay.

I would definitely be visiting this place again and would recommend anyone visiting Kanha to stay at Pug Mark.

Blissful enjoyable stay at  Pug Mark Resort

We stayed at Pugmark Resort for 2 nights and 3 days. We were a group of 9 and it was our first trip to Kanha Tiger Reserve. The resort is very peaceful, surrounded by lot of greenery and very near to Khatiya gate.  All the 3 rooms that we had taken were spacious and clean. The hospitality and service was fabulous. Special applause for the delicious food that was served everytime. The owner Yadav uncle ji and Rahul ji ,and their staff Mr Noorul Hassan and Rakesh made us feel like their extended family. We enjoyed and got to know in details about the flora and fauna of the forest from Hassan ji on our second safari trip. My children had a lovely time with Rahul Ji's daughter and they spent a lot of time playing together. Thoroughly enjoyed the bonfire in the evenings. Highly recommend this place to. everyone. Coming back for sure for my safari in Kanha zone.
