Stayed at this fantastic location as part of the Titan Wild India tour.  The lodge was well equipped/ clean and well presented.  The food was amazing and all the staff were excellent...friendly,  welcoming and happy.  Breakfast were packed by the kitchen staff and taken on the jeeps. They had thought of everything.  The accommodation should receive a higher rating than 3.5. Everything was perfect.  Thank you!

Beautiful quiet location.

Had a lovely three nights here. My room was on the edge of the property, so very quiet and had a nice sitting area outside my door looking onto neighbouring land. Swimming pool was a good size and lovely to use after a dusty game drive. Staff were very friendly and food was great. Grounds were lovely and it has a lovely vegetable garden to wander around in. This was my second stay here, and standards are as good as nine  years ago when I last  visited.

Return visit

We spent 3 nights here in order to visit Kanha reserve where we had 2 full days of safari. The accommodation was comfortable but what really made our stay was the staff who were great. The food was plentiful and there were lots of fresh vegetables. The packed breakfast for safari was always very good. Drinks were very reasonable. We had a great tiger experience on our last game drive and our driver worked hard to try and ensure we saw lots of wildlife. We had a problem with the air-con on our final night and we’re pleasantly surprised to be given the keys for another room should we need it as they thought they had sorted the problem but weren’t 100%. In the end it was fine though - just an example of a lodge committed to providing the best customer experience possible.

Great customer service

Great room, large clean and bright. We were at the end with a great walk just outside our room. 
Bedding and towels are spotlessly clean.
Plenty of drinking water provided.
Tea coffee facilities restocked. 
Clean pool with towels provided. 
Really close to the safari parks.
Great staff, helpful and interested in our trips to the parks.


Wonderful lodge.

Wonderful place. Staff so friendly and helpful 
Food was too mild for my taste 
Tended to just offer chutney or tomato chilli sauce to spice it up a bit 
Room was lovely with view over paddy fields. Dry at the moment. As was the lake our room would look onto in wet season 
Lovely grounds. Veg plot - just use more spice in the cooking 
Swimming pool was fantastic 
Drinks reasonable 
Service was excellent and friendly.   On the last meal we got spicier food after asking

Lovely place

This is a lovely resort and the management have gone out of their way to make it welcoming.  The tiger fabrics in the room were a nice touch and there was a huge shower room outside and a patio area to relax in.  The food was rather basic but ok.
My overriding memory however is of how cold it is in this area.  You will need to have a heavy padded jacket or at least a very thick fleece to keep on whilst having dinner - and a woolly hat.  Thank goodness my room had a small heater provided.  I kept it on all the time so the room stayed warm.

It gets cold here!

This was the second leg of our Indian safari trip. We stayed here for 3 nights and were made to feel very welcome. The lodge was situated further up the hills in Kanha and we had to travel through a lovely wee village where happy locals waved at us as we passed through. It was a dusty and bumpy road but the scenery was amazing.

The lodge had a lovely bridge over an pond to pass over to get to the lobby. It was spacious and had Wi-Fi. We then went outside to get to the dining area which again was spacious and had two big long tables for our group. There was smaller tables further in for other guests. 

The rooms were wee cottages that were down a path. Our room was further away down the path and was larger. Our building had 2 rooms and was connected to another that was similar. We had to walk up,steps to get to ours and it meant the balcony had a nicer view as it sat out into the trees. Room was spacious and had a bathroom and shower connected. The decor was the best I’ve ever seen in a room as the bedding, curtains and cushions all matched and were of tigers. The room also had a fridge, kettle, hairdryer and plenty of storage space. 

The food was top notch. It was a Buffett selection of Indian food and was different every day. They used vegetables from their own garden so it was very fresh food. A drinks menu was provided and prices were reasonable. 

Staff were very friendly and had excellent manners. They couldn’t do enough to help you. They worked very hard and we’re very respectful. Anytime we passed by they stood up as a mark of respect. 

There was a large pool area that got the sun all day. Plenty of beds to lie on and surrounded by beautiful trees and landscape.

The safari park was close by and only a 10 minute drive. It’s cold in the morning being in the mountains but warmed up through tour morning. 

I would definitely stay here again. It was an amazing part of our trip

Peaceful and picturesque

This lodge is in an excellent position for entering the Mukki game reserve zone. We stayed in a very comfortable “bungalow” to the rear of the main building and were the only people to make use of the swimming pool during our 4 night stay. The dining room has the atmosphere of a school canteen and, whilst the food is plentiful and wholesome, it definitely lacks variety. The grounds are pretty and many birds can be seen.
We had a superb naturalist guide on our game drives supplied by Nature Safaris. Nareen added greatly to our experience due to his impressive knowledge, excellent communication skills and being able to think like a tiger!!!
What we really did not like about Kanha was the crazy rush of scores of vehicles to a sighting and the resulting bad tempered battle for a good position on crowded tracks.

Kanha tiger reserve

The staff were amazing; very attentive and polite. The food was delicious! There was a wide choice of food, with vegetables grown in the garden. My husband mentioned that he likes aubergine, so they made an aubergine curry especially for him.  The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. The grounds were beautiful. 
In particular I would like to mention how kind and caring the staff were when I fell and hurt my wrist. They went out of their way to make sure I was looked after. 
We would go back tomorrow if we could!

A fabulous place to stay to enjoy the jungle.

My husband and I were absolutely blown away by the staff's kindness and caring during our three night stay at this beautiful lodge (special thanks to Chef Ankit and to Prakash!) . Upon hearing that my husband had come down with a sinus infection prior to our arrival, the staff inquired about his health on a daily basis and Chitvan's amazing chef prepared a special healing soup for him each day as well. All of the food was fantastic; our room was spacious, clean, and lovely; and the safaris with our excellent naturalist/driver Naren were exciting and unforgettable. The lodge is only about a ten minute drive from the park gate and we were lucky enough to have multiple tiger sightings and see so many other amazing animals on our Kanha safaris! 

Our only complaint concerned the smoky wood-fired water heating system. Because one unit was directly behind our room, the smoke seeped in through our screened bathroom window. It would be so nice if they could come up with a less polluting method of heating water there. 

But everything else was perfect and we would stay at Chitvan again in a heartbeat!
