We stayed for just the one night and enjoyed it. We had a twin room with a shared bathroom and kitchen. It was all very clean and had a modern feel about it. The only minor negative was the lack of carpet which made a little less cosy, but it was lovely and warm still. Vik was just a ten minute drive around the other side of the mountain.

Very nice panoramic location beautiful kitchen equipped with dishwashers shower cabinet everything very clean and the responsible very available place I recommend forgotten so much tranquility for those trying to relax

Summer of 2023

My friend and I were trying to get to our hotel near Vatnajokull to do the ice caves until the roads turned too icy for our car to continue. We had to turn around and go back to Vik, so I was desperately calling around for a place to stay that night. We found this place, where an absolute gem of a woman answered the phone and said she had a room for around €125. We were just super happy to have a place to stay. When we arrived, she was at the front desk and told us that she has another room open up for €99. This was so nice of her- we had already agreed to €125 and she told us about the cheaper option (which would have made her less money). She gave us our key and the room was very clean and nice. There were also two bathrooms and multiple showers available if you booked the community option. We weren’t very lucky that night, but I’d bet that it would be an incredible place to see the northern lights (I’d never seen so many stars!) Easy five minute drive to the black sand beach- you could even hear the ocean from the balcony. We even called after hours to ask about the wifi password and she was super friendly and more than happy to help (hint: it’s on the back of the key). She made our terrible day so much better, and we would absolutely stay here again.

Woman who owns this place is a saint!!

We were in trouble with the roads closed and everything fully booked. The owner opened and cleaned the guesthouse just for our party of 8 people. The place was spotless and spacious. Also very close by was the Black Sand Beach restaurant/cafe where we ended up having dinner. Thank you again for your hospitality!

This was heaven!

Such cute and clean guesthouse,  in the middle of pure nature... I was in the group of 22, we were only guests... Friendly owner,  good coffee 😊. Black beach,  Skogarfoss with the hike,  Vik in the neibourhood... We stayed 3 nights & I loved it...

Private parking and breathtaking views from the rooms. Simple rooms with three shared showers very spacious. Clean environment and multifunctional kitchen. Relaxing terrace. The owner was very thoughtful and gentle for any need. Free Wifi

Essential but fantastic

This guesthouse is amazing.
The location is great, very near the beach.
The rooms are cosy and have everything you need. There is a fully equiped kitchen with two stoves, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and all the pots and pans you need. 
Great dining area. Showers are large and comfy.
And it is super clean.
You won't get a better stay than here!

Best guesthouse in area

Stayed for one night with my daughter in mid-June 2021. Cost was around $65USD for a room with shared bath. Booked through Booking.com. Property is about 10 minutes outside of Vik but very close to Reyisfjara beach, and surrounded by a stunning setting.

The entire property was absolutely spotless. Room was basic and small with a fold out table, sink, and stool. Beds were comfortable and it was very quiet at night. We slept very soundly. This is definitely not a place to stay  if you are seeking a late-night party atmosphere.  

The common spaces were large and spacious. There were two rooms with toilets and sinks, three shower rooms, and a common kitchen and dining space. Kitchen had amazing views all around and had all were stocked with normal cooking utensils and basic ingredients. Complimentary coffee and tea were available as well. WiFi was fast! Plenty of space and facilities for a guesthouse with only 10 rooms. 

A great place to stay if you seek the quiet of the countryside, want to prepare your own meals, and have your own transportation. I'd happily stay here again.

Spotless, stunning location, excellent value

We spent 2 nights here. The reception from our host was very cordial, she immediately adjusted the price of our nights down due to COVID, which I have never experienced before. The equipment is good, there is a kitchen with everything necessary, there are also things for breakfast. There are 2 toilets, a community bath, there was also a sink in the room. We would come back anytime.

Cozy guest house in a nice location

We stayed for one night as we wanted to visit Reynisfjara beach early next morning.
The room is decent and with a good kitchen and property overall had a hostel like feel. Breakfast option (paid or complementary) would have been good to have 
Begga (the owner) strikes great conversations. Overall a good deal if you want to stay near black sand beach in Vik.
