The apartment was on the ground floor, comfortable and very clean. There were 2.5 bathrooms (one full with shower and tub, one full with shower, and one with just toilet). It was great for us traveling with elderly parents who were moving slow and walking with a walker. The seating and dining area was small but very adequate. The hallways were wide and the bathroom with shower was large enough for the one of us on a walker to get around very comfortably. Highly recommend for anyone needing a place that is walker-friendly.

Very clean facility. Wish there was a bigger common area, but that’s fine. Warm room and clean bedding. We didn’t have any issue getting a hold of the bathroom whenever we needed to thankfully.

Quiet, and had everything we needed. Normally we prefer whole place, or hotel rooms, but this guest house had 2.5 bathrooms for 4 guest rooms, so no waiting for bathrooms at all ever.

We had a lovely stay at Setburg Guesthouse - it is cosy but very well-appointed and thought out. We can highly recommend it to future guests.

Hofn is not the best place to find a hotel and the Setberg Guesthouse is a good alternative. It is much better value for money and sharing a shower bathroom was not problematic. In good weather, I think the view would have been excellent. A word of warning: bring your own food to cook (including breakfast) or eat before arrival as there are no shops or restaurants nearby

Friendly owner and good value for money

We stayed one night for 4 people in 2 rooms.The house is located in the countryside, in a cozy place.The house is clean and quiet.The rooms are nice, no luxuries.The bathrooms are shared.The kitchen, sharing is well equipped, with oven, microwave.Our stay was pleasant.I won't mind coming back.

perfect! all is new, clean and with a soul. in a unique natural position near a farm. A beautiful place. silence. good vibes. all the rooms have a very good vision of the nature outside. bathrooms new and clean. good prices

We stayed for one night. The guesthouse is very nice. Rooms are nice and comfy. The kitchen is spacy and like brand new. The kichen is also very well equipped if you want to prepare a proper dinner or breakfast. Hofn is a ten minute drive away and theres a good supermarket.

Very good place to.

My husband and I stayed for one night in September as part of our seven day drive around the ring road.

We stayed here after a long day driving along the South coast visiting Seljalandsfoss, Skógarfoss, Dyrhólaey, Reynishverfi (black sand beach), Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon and Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon. There’s a long drive between the last two locations with no towns in between but pretty amazing scenery.

Guesthouse with shared bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen. Clean and comfortable. We arrived late so not sure whether there are places to eat nearby so check out what’s around if you don’t intend to cook for yourself.

This was quite an expensive place to stay but it’s in keeping with other options in the area.
