Place is easy to reach from the harbour also by foot (about 20 mins). Owner is very nice and kind and the experience is overall amazing. But for being a glamping, some things need to be improved: number of toilets first (two aren’t really enough), cleanliness of toilets and shower. The cottage was nice, enough spacious and comfortable.

The structure would be five-star, which I don't put on because I'm not a regular camper, and so the discomfort of not having a bathroom in my room makes me vary my judgment, notwithstanding that the bathrooms and showers in the structure are both clean and usable.

The Fairy Tale

This establishment is tucked away in one of the coziest corners of the island , and it took me a while to find. It is a bit of a walk from town if you have a lot of luggage. The scenery of the mountains above , with grazing sheep, is awesome. My “barrel “ was clean, cozy and warm!  The decor was homey! The shared kitchen, showers, and toilets were immaculately clean..... perhaps a bit of a walk for some. . The kitchen and dining area was was sizable and well-organized.....take your shoes off before entering!  The owner was very friendly and eager to inform you on the islands sights. Overall, my two night stay was a great experience , at a reasonable price!

What a Cozy Barrel!

Excellent location close to town, but in a serene location right in Herjólfsdalur with nearby trails up the mountain, and grazing sheep! Although I did not do the hike due to windy conditions, it was highly recommended by staff!

Very cute and cozy cabins, and good shared kitchen and bathroom facilities just a short walk away.

A great stay in Vestmannaeyjar!

A beautiful campsite in the crater of a volcano, close to the macareus and a beautiful golf course, a beautiful common room, warm showers included in the price of 1700 ISK per person.

Thanks to Corona, there were only a few camping guests (about 20) on site. The facility is very good, large living room with some years old kitchen equipment...but everything there, or just take your own. WC/shower very clean and heated:-) Washing machine, tummers for 500 ISK each. Price 1500 ISK/night for camping without electricity. See beautiful hiking opportunities and puffins en masse....Don't forget to bring wind/rain protection, gloves and hats even in summer!

Campsite with good facilities

We stayed "in a barrel" cabin and it was so charming!  The location was quite spectacular - just off the beaten path across from the golf course.  The facilities at the camp were good - clean showers and bathrooms accessed from outside and the option to use the shower and bathrooms inside the clubhouse as well.  The kitchen/dining area was well equipped and used by many.  It was quite comfortable to have a quick breakfast in the morning.     This is the only accommodation that we stayed in that did not include breakfast, but the overall charm was worth the small hassle.   There was a fridge in the "hobbit house" and we also took the extra linens option - which were cozy and comfortable.

Highly recommended when you tour the island.

Unique and charming accommodation

I stayed in one of the barrel type cabin accommodations. Nice design and smartly arranged furniture.  Only negative is the excess placement of unnecessary knickknacks strewn throughout the accommodation, limiting use of crucial storage space. Toilets, although clean, were limited in number. How can a campsite have only three (3) toilets for 15 + cabins and for the rest of the tenting capacity? Great location and easy access to all the sites  - albeit, this is an island. Overall, recommended if you can hold your bladder if needed.

Glamping & Camping is located on the Westman Islands of iceland, just on the edge ot the main town. You can camp but I choose one of the barrel type accommodations which feature a small porch, sitting area just inside the door and 2 twin beds plus a mini fridge. I recommend you purchase the optional linen package which includes a duvet. There are also A style cabins.

Behind you rise some amazing mountains and in front of you just past the golf course is the Atlantic Ocean. The nearby main building provides a common area to prepare meals (if you wish) with plenty of dishes, stove, etc. The showers and washrooms are next door. The owner pops by every so often to register you in but if she is not there just give her a call.

While a bit basic for something different you must try this if visiting the Westman Islands.

Friendly welcome. Amazing showers & loos.
Common area/cooking area is indoors & very, very clean, with cookers, kettle, toaster, washing up sinks & lots of power points.
Amazing cliff views. Can walk up a steep path to see puffins!
