This is essentially a mobile home that has been placed on an empty spot outside of the City.  The inside was comfortable and clean.  It's only 5 minutes into the City.  Check in and out was totally contactless, we didn't encounter anyone for service.  It would have been a good place to look for auroras, but we found there was too much light from the guesthouse.

Comfortable place to stay outside of Egilsstadir

Very cozy little studio. A very comfortable bed, an optimized bathroom and a small kitchenette with a microwave oven. Everything is there to have a good evening and a good night. Thank you very much!!

If it is true Egilsstaðir is not a must-see town, it must be said that the location discouraged an excursion to the centre. However, this defect can also be an advantage: the isolated location could facilitate the view of the Northern Lights, an experience that I have not been able to do.

You can do better.

0.5 km right off the main road. OK place to spend the night. Clean. Secluded. 5 min drive from gas station. Common room has cooking equipment. Nothing fancy, no sauna or hot tube. Good for the price.

We went to the Reindeer Park and left without going in.  It now charges ~14$ for anyone over 12.  That would have been $50 for our family.  Price: cost ROI not there.  The bathrooms were also all closed.

A nice guest house in the north of Iceland.

The guesthouse is surrounded by beautiful nature and landscapes and Egilsstaðir, the largest town in the East Region is located only 10 minutes away by car.

The room equipped with small kitchen and private shower room. It’s clean and comfortable. I think this is one of the best place to for aurora hunting in winter.

Recommend for all type of guests.

Nice guesthouse in peaceful area

The flow-out in the shower didn’t work properly so that water flowed onto the floor. The TV didn’t work at all as well. There was lot of dust on shelves, especially under the TV. Taken together, this falls short of a 3-stern accommodation. I wouldn’t recommend it 

Very bad

Vinland Cottage is a nice house, very well situated to explore the east of Iceland. The house is very green, the facilities are adequate. We would come back anytime.

Good location to explore the east of the island.

Good situation a few kilometers from Egilsstaðir and Vök baths, very clean room and bathroom with a convenient kitchenette, parking at the door, it's a pity that the reception is reduced to an exchange of payment for access code.

To explore the fjords of the east

The cottage is situated just outside the town surrounded by nature and silence. We arrived late at night and we could appreciate the peace of the place. The cottage is a small apartment with a comfortable bed, TV, a desk, a fridge and some cups and cutlery. There is also the possibility to have some tea thanks to a boiler in the room. We were satisfied with the location and the room. There was a small table with a couple of chairs in the terrasse which we used to eat our breakfast bought at the nearest supermarket. It could be anyway a very good idea to offer some breakfast to guests :) 
All in all, a very good stay :)
