We spent 2 nights in the hotel. We had a warm welcome, they escorted us to our room. The room is not a luxury suite, but it was clean, and apart from the 2 bugs that disturbed us at night, we were satisfied with everything. They probably came in when a balcony door was open. The wellness section was included in the price and we really enjoyed the pools. Unfortunately, the gym was closed, and I couldn't open the door, but it wasn't necessary to ask for help at the reception.
Breakfast and dinner are buffet-style, and you can choose from high-quality and exceptionally tasty dishes. The restaurant definitely received an excellent rating from me. Unfortunately, we had to pay separately for drinks at dinner, they were not included in the basic price. I will spend much more time here next time.

Fantastic hotel.

Stayed here for four nights on business. The room was huge with comfortable seating and two TVs.
The minibar was well stocked and the prices quite reasonable.
Parking in front of the hotel is chargeable but there is a free car park a distance away around the rear.
The restaurant food was outstanding and reasonably priced. Breakfast was fairly standard but when stock was running low on a very busy morning more effort is needed to stop it running out.
The price I paid for the room was less than a Premier Inn so well chuffed.
Recommended and I would definitely stay here again. 

Good value for money

We had superior room with updated (double sink) bathroom, comfortable bed and pillows. Two balconies with great views. Huge suite with big bedroom and sitting room. Location to Cave Baths easy walk. A little retail strip with individual kiosk about 3/4 finished on short trail to cave baths. Across the street really nice park for strolling.Breakfast was delicious. We also had lunch and dinner there with traditional Hungarian dishes that reminded me of my childhood. 

Wonderful stay

The hotel was better than I have read in the comments. The room was nice and clean, in the wellness the water was warm and great, the breakfast tasted good! The staff was helpful :)

great experience

If I’m taking time to write such detailed and negative feedback, believe me I have a good reason to do so. After travelling a fair amount of time in my life in Hungary and abroad I can genuinely say that this hotel is by far my worst experience. This hotel does NOT meet the expectations of a 4* hotel nor a wellness hotel. I hope my very valid complaints will be heard by the owners/managers and taken into consideration for improvement.
Hotel: genuinely tired looking and the cleanliness is very much questionable. Looks all right at the first glance but once you look at it closely you can see tat it’s not up to scratch. Balcony was filthy with heavy dust (no excuse needed in response as I’m stating facts), peeling wallpapers, mouldy bathroom. Also, a terrible sewage smell lingering around the corridors and my bathroom for sure. This has been reported twice during my stay but not been once acknowledged.
Rooms: asked for a large double bed (as the option given in booking.com)but was given two single beds pushed together so I ended up being squeezed into the gap night after night as I was sharing my room with two small children. Mattress was also very soft and rather uncomfortable. Nonetheless, my sleepless nights were made even worse by the two industrial size fans under my window going off in every hour. It was particularly bad at night and broke my sleep night after night. Yet again, I’ve complained about it but no room change was offered, only to be told we will look into this and left as it was. Thx! 
Not to mention the fact, that even the simplest hotel would stock their rooms with a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities. Well, this so called 4* hotel had none of it and when asked for it I was told that they don’t offer it. When I wanted to take my coffee from the breakfast into my room to enjoy it on my balcony I was told it’s not allowed BUT I can buy one from the bar. What a joke! Adding to the ridiculously poor quality of this hotel, the bathroom had no shampoo, shower gel ect only a foamy soap in a wall dispenser. This is not acceptable if you are running and charging for a 4* hotel. Stocking your rooms with coffee,tea,shampoo ect should be basics!!!
Towels are small, bathrobes are thin and cheap quality and I could keep going on and on about the list of issues…
Wellness: dirty and tired; very old equipments in the gym where half naked soaking wet men were tossing around with some weights, the place should be managed and not allowing people in there from the pools. The floor was wet and unsafe. Some saunas didn’t work and the indoor pools were very very small and dirty with no fresh air. Very unpleasant environment and not relaxing at all. The outdoor pool was out of service to my greatest disappointment. Had I known that the outdoor pool wasn’t working I wouldn’t have bothered booking in this hotel. This wasn’t brought to my attention during the booking in the description on booking.com, nor during the confirmation emails. I felt ripped off and it resulted in us having to go out every day to spend time in nearby facilities for swimming and enjoying outdoor pools. We only went back to the hotel to sleep and had no wellness experience whatsoever. 
Breakfast: without exaggeration, the spread was laughable and not up to the standards of a 4* hotel.Nothing labelled so you could only guess what you were eating. If you have religious, vegetarian or any other dietary needs you are doomed. No selection of eggs like boiled, sunny side up ect as you would expect it, only scrambled eggs. One day it was mixed with ham. When asked for meet free egg and pointed out the fact that not everyone eats meet or pork fresh scrambled eggs were made. Only issue is that the waitress than poured the meet free eggs into the same container as the one with ham…well what can I say… no selection of fresh and dried fruits for healthy options only apples, every day apples. No fresh juices only apple and orange squash from a machine, tasted horrible. No cold cuts labelled just random stuff laid next to one another.
Overall, my stay was very unpleasant, I left feeling exhausted and could relax one bit as the hotel and the room was not enjoyable so I ended up being out and about every day until bed time. The hotel doesn’t offer value for money and I would never go back again nor would I recommend it to anyone.

Bad service, unprofessional staff, unclean rooms that are not cleaned at all, poor quality beds - old and worn.
This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. Someone should check the categorization of this hotel.

Big disappointment - very bad hotel services

Service was terrible. The room where dirty and more like an Old 2star than 4star. The food was not good. The people gave a bad service and where rude, including the owner. I would not recommend this place to Anyone. The only thing that was allright was the spapart, everything Else very bad. Not satisfied at all. Comparing to 3star hotels everywhere Else around the world this was way worse than any of them.

Terrible service and more like a 2star hotel, NOT 4star hotel

Prices are not in harmony with the quality of service. Average kitchen at a very high price. The quality of the room is 3 stars, but it is very noisy due to the thinness of the walls. Service is completely average. We expected a lot more from this hotel. Images and advertisements are not based on reality. Remember, tip is included in the price!

Summer of 2020

Pros:
Excellent location, nice room with a good view, comfy bed, extraordinary wellness section (3 floors) with hot tub, inner pool, outer pool, saunas, salt room, gym. Well yes. 
This is how a wellness section should be. Staff is overall young age as of now, but always trying to be kind an helpful.

Cons:
Passive agressive text warning that you need to pay for everything (which is obvious without highlighting) which really sets the mood but in a wrong way. Not to talk about the moldy bottles (not operating withtout the room card so it gets hot then cold frequently, really disgusting)
"consume only those thing you purchased at the hotel, if you do not agree you should leave the premises"
"if you use the mini fridge in the room for anything else than the hotel filled products, you'll be charged with extra" etc.
"make sure you are using one parking spot otherwise we will charge you the extra space"
Not that i do not agree with most of this, but it is bit offensive for normal human beings.
Vacuum cleaner and room maintenance should be improved. I really like peanuts but not under my bed. Exhaust fan in the shower clogged with dust. Disgusting... really takes about a minute of two to clean it during the daily maintenance.
Breakfast is kind of 80s style, no proper ligthning in a windowless conference room. Mostly empty food containers, needed to ask staff to re-fill, eventhough there are usually 4-5 people serving for 10-12 guests.

Overall it was an enjoyable experience for us with mixed feelings, might return someday.

Wellness

Három nap két éjszakát töltöttünk Édesapámmal ezen a csodás helyen. A szálloda meseszép környezetben található, a miskolci barlangfürdőtől alig 100 méterre. Kényelmes, tágas szobák, hatalmas  wellness részleg. Nagyon kedves, profi személyzet és kifogástalan étterem. Gratulálok ezúton is ennek a családi vállalkozásnak, mert a szálloda minden részletében benne van a szívük és a lelkük. Mindenkinek ajánlom!

We’ve spent 3 days at this wonderful place with my father. The hotel is placed in a fairy tale nature.Just about a 100m far from the famous Cave Spa.Comfortable air conditioned rooms spiced with a HUGE wellness site. All employees are very kind and professionals. The restaurant is perfect without doubt.Congratulations to the owners because their heart and soul of catering can be found in every aspect of the hotel. Everybody should try it!
