Az adómentesség megszerzéséhez a külföldi állampolgároknak a belépéskor külföldi valutában (nem chilei pesóban) ki kell fizetniük az ott-tartózkodásukat, valamint be kell mutatniuk érvényes útlevelüket és az országba való belépéskor kapott bevándorlási kártyát. Ha egy adott szobán egy az adó megfizetésére kötelezett, illetve egy az alól felmentett személy osztozik, akkor az adó megfizetése az egész szobára alkalmazható.
