Payable directly to the hotel by local residents only. Tourists will receive a refund for the VAT Tax, when they pay for their accommodations. To receive the refund, they must pay with a foreign credit card or provide their passport number and confirm their address.

Government VAT of 21% is not included in the price and will be charged to all Argentinian citizens at the time of check-out. Foreign citizens staying in the country on a tourist visa are exempt from paying this tax. To qualify for tax exemption, the traveler must present a valid passport and pay for services rendered with a card issued outside of Argentina or by bank transfer from another country. The tax exemption does not apply for stays over 90 days. If the traveler cancels the booking and pays the corresponding penalty, this penalty is also subject to state VAT (21%).
