Central hotel, simple, takes the task of hosting, yet no privacy its walls are made of plaster. Poor cleanliness. I think their price is high for the quality of care they offer.

There is no privacy.

Hotels in Coban which is a nice and visitable City are really the worst compared to Antigua or Panajachel for example.
Dark undecorated rooms where the noisy street traffic is running by.
Another example is the Casa Semuc.
Small ugly decaying rooms without comfort ; the hotel does not have any type of a small restaurant. Internet is also not working. Room rate much too high.
Good is its central location and the parking lot they have. Staff is pleasant.
Next to the hotel is a gym which is allowed from 6am to 9 pm to perform its extra-loud music.
Although I tried, I could not find any nice hotel in Coban! Sorry!

A lousy city hotel

We are very disappointed about this small Hotel seriousness. We had a reservation and number of comfirmation since February 3 thru Hotels.com. We planned our trip logistics based on place to stay.Today I found that the Hotel changed their prices based on surge of demand and did not honor my reservation. They excuse is that Hotels.com did not charged us upfront. We are frequent travelers and WILL NEVER consider this place anymore.
Please be aware and NOT trust no reservation on this place.


Lack of seriousness and commitment

I really couldn't visit the place because the price posted on the hotel pages was lower than the real one, and when I tried to make my reservation they doubled the price posted and when I mentioned the page where I had seen the price they replied that they didn't know that page.

 Disappointing.

We stayed at Casa Semuc for 2 nights.  The bed was comfortable, the water was hot, the room and bathroom very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful.  We had secure parking for our motorcycle.  The wifi worked well in the reception area.  It is close to the plaza and restaurants and grocery/convenience stores.   We stayed in a room with a private bathroom/shower.  We would recommend this if it is in your budget.  The shared bathroom/shower were very clean, but for the shower there was no private changing area and the shower itself is too small to be able to keep your towel and clothes dry as far as I could tell.  We totally recommend staying here and plan to return for another night in a few days!

Our stay

I think there are better places to stay in Coban. This room smelled like sewage and the bed was uncomfortable. It was small and dark and not super clean. Good location, though. Annoying how the staff has to be there to buzz you in or out whenever you wanted to come or go.

Smelly and Uncomfortable

A great find. Cheap and cheerful room for two with a shared bathroom right beside the central plaza. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would have given this 5 stars had the shower been just a little warmer.

Good deal

A hotel in the center of Coban near the main square. The team is very kind and ready to help when needed. The rooms are simple but comfortable.

Central

This is a good, low budget place to stay in Coban,  The staff was friendly and helpful, and the amenities that we needed (Wi-fi, secure parking) were present.  There is a pretty, comfortable sitting area with a nice view.  The hotel is very close to the plaza, with both a very nice restaurant and good cheap local fare close by.  The rooms are small and have no windows.  Everything is older, but it's clean.  The bathroom is tiny, and the shower provides warm water.  Two things I would have liked were a safe or safe deposit, and hot water for coffee or tea in the sitting area.  Overall, this hotel works as a base for exploring the many surrounding attractions, and they have clearly made an effort to serve travelers.

Friendly, low budget hotel.

Everything was packed that day so finding this Hostel was a blessing.It's small, everything is small there, but it's a few steps from downtown and is very cordially served.I recommend it for the basics.
