It has been sold and the new owners are not honouring the bookings!,,, Our booking has been cancelled for June/July 2018. Thanks to Expedia we have sorted alternative accomodation.

We stayed at lalaria hotel for a week with formula b&b. Very cozy place, very spacious room, clean and comfortable. Cleaning service quite efficient. Located in an excellent position between port, beach and pulman stop and minimarket. Very convenient for those who want to move or move around. Harry, the guy at the reception was very nice to explain everything to us in the really cute details. Location not even two minutes from the beach. Cooking corner quite supplied. I recommend just putting the pasta between the supplied material.

We paid 100 euros per night to stay here which was on the cheaper side for accommodation in Skiathos in peak season, so we understood that we wouldn't be getting luxury accommodation - but even still, we were disappointed. 

The room was mostly fine - basic facilities, plenty of space and a balcony overlooking the drive way. 

However, the smell coming from our bathroom was horrendous. I can't say whether all rooms are the same as what we experienced. We could smell that it was coming from the floor waste. My partner actually put his hands down the drain to "clear" whatever it was that was blocking the drain - which was a huge wad of hair that had built up over the years I guess? The smell drifted out into the bedroom part of the room too. It was evident that the hotel is aware of this problem because each day after house keeping came through, the drain was always covered with a towel which I guess was supposed to mark the smell - it didn't work.

The breakfast that was offered was not great - but indicative of a two star hotel - some bread and spreads, cheese and cereal. When we arrived (early) there was hardly anything left to eat and the staff member did not replenish the food until we asked her. 

Despite other people's reviews, we found the pool pretty clean and pleasant. 

The location is dangerous as there are absolutely no footpaths (which is typical of all of Skiathos). You need to take great care when walking from this hotel to the centre of the town as you'll be walking along the road with cars and bikes speeding past. Once we had our quad bike, it was fine to come and go from the hotel, as plenty of on-site parking.

We stayed three nights and then moved to a different hotel which was the same price but absolutely beautiful! It was further out of town though towards the airport meaning you must have your own transport to stay at this hotel.

If I return to skiathos, I would stay out of town (in Xanemos beach) as it's quiet and away from all the crazy drivers. So long as you have your own transport, Xanemos beach was the ideal location.

Would not recommend

As per other reviewers hotel is basic but it's fine for what you pay.

Hotel is in a good location it's about 10 min walk to town and 150m from Megalithic Ammos beach. But skiathos has no footpaths so we felt pretty uncomfortable wheeling the pram down with our daughter in it and cars speeding by on a tight street. There is a short cut through the lane across the road from the hotel but we had to discover this ourselves. Also if you have infants I wouldn't bother with the stroller the roads are too bumpy in town for the stroller and there are stairs pretty much everywhere. We used the ergo baby carrier the whole time instead.

Pool is quite nice but the fiberglass definitely needs a good clean. Also it closes at 7pm which was kind of annoying because it's still hot and sunny at 7pm and we would've loved to keep swimming. Especially doesn't make sense as the bar right next to the pool stays open till 10pm. 

Breakfast is fine, it's a basic Greek breakfast - boiled eggs, bread, jam, cheese, ham, tomato, olives, cereal, yoghurt, honey. Coffee is charged extra unless you want that percolator stuff they serve on aeroplanes. 

Rooms are very basic. Beds are extremely small so if you're tall your legs will definitely hang over. They don't change towels and sheets every day also so just manage your own expectations with that one. We thought it was a little odd.

Overall fine though. :-)

Basic, but fine

Stayed for one week in July 2017. The family room we stayed in was spacious and clean. However, do not expect anything fancy. The pictures of the hotel and rooms are very accurate. The pool area was quiet and comfortable when traveling with small kids.

The service was friendly and accommodating.

Clean and friendly but basic

Very basic accommodation. Spacious for 3 people (at least the room we booked). Has been renovated but could do with more care. The furniture dated. The bathroom was roomy and very clean. The pool area could use a bit of work. For the price and proximity to town it was ok. Not sure I would stay again, but not any complaints either.

Nice stay. Could be better

The hotel is very economical with Spartan furnishings, the size of the rooms is ok but the maintenance leaves much to be desired, old and poorly maintained hotel. Bathroom lazy, cleaning the room that leaves much to be desired. The declared location is 5 minutes walk from the center of Skiathos but the road to walk is bad to walk; no sidewalk and with no light to walk it in the evening you risk your life being a very busy road by cars and trucks. The alternative is to pass through the beach of Megali Ammos extending the journey taking at least 15 minutes.

I would have expected something cool instead of all things bottled and packaged), never used pool, kind staff, hotel located on the main road of the island so comfortable even if in the evening there is a lot of traffic

Economic policy

A week before our departure for Skyatos, the hotel we booked with Volagratis, was replaced with the Lalaria.Obviously, given the imminent departure.we accepted.Fattying is to say nothing.! More overlooking the main road with continuous traffic all day and night: closing the window is the only way to sleep, if at least there were dark tents and the air conditioner worked.!!!

But it wouldn't be right now.

If you want a trip to discover the wildest nature, then it's the hotel that makes X you!!! There's the possibility to meet a different insect every day and it's all free....the poor cleanliness of the rooms makes everything more spartan and how to say....alluring!?! I mean I don't recommend it, despite the good location, as everything very relative given the small size of the island....by renting a car or a scooter you can reach any destination in less than ten minutes........ah I forgot the pool....try X believe:D.....a real INCUBO HOTEL DA!!!!!!!
