The good: 

- looks and feels very clean and hotel maids seem to do a good job
- there is a dedicated parking spot for all rooms
- the hotel is located close to a beach and some restaurants
- there is a very small kitchenette with fridge and a small safe box in the room
- a tiny tv is available
- the front desk staff and the manager are very polite and have positive attitude (unfortunately could not resolve the issues that i brought up)
- there is a nice and spacy roofed terrace attached to the room, but it overlooks the street and can be noisy. However it does provide great shade and keeps the room cool.
- a/c is available and works fine
- bed is comfy and sheets are clean as expected

The not so good:

- old building, yet repainted and somewhat refurnished
- bathroom is very tight. Old tiles, showerhead cannot be hooked so you have to spray-wash yourself, shower booth is too small, not ventilated and the bathroom window takes steam into the room (rather than outside the building)
- absolutely no kitchen utensils in the cabinets - no plates, cups glasses or anything but hot pot
- the walls are quite thin and most of the time you can hear your neighbors and more likely their kids crying or having fun and making noise, so privacy is available only during daytime after most folks head to the beach until the afternoon.
- the door to the room is not very solid so you can hear people in the hallway and vice versa
- the worst thing for me was internet access. In fact i needed it badly to do some work remotely.  There is no such service in my room. It's technically impossible to connect to any of the 2 routers. The signal strengths is just 1 bar and it disconnects  within seconds. What's worse, is that every time you connect to the router, you have to login through a web page which is a pain in the butt and just makes the experience more dreadful. I had to go to the reception desk and sit at the entrance of the hotel to get internet access. Even then the speed is in the range of 1.5 to 2mbit/s which is ok for browsing. I think the hotel should warn it's customers that internet service is available only in the lobby!

In a nutshell, the hotel is not bad and service is good, but fairly overpriced. What's more, i booked a double room for 1 person and had to pay full price for 2 occupants.

Not bad but overpriced for what it has to offer

It gives me immense pleasure whit this way to address this appreciation note to the entire hotel staffing team of Diaporos Hotel. My family and me went from Croatia, Zagreb to Greece and we spent beautiful vacation in this Hotel already third time. Diaporos is perfectly placed close to the sand beach of Vourvorou. Secured parking, great playground park for children, clean, spacy rooms. Hotel has very nice restaurant with open windows and balcony all around (sea wiev). Breakfast and dinner buffet which is served is very interesting. It is not classic hotel thing, Food served is 'home cooked' and tastes great. Suplied from local farmers makes food much more tasty, olive oil, fresh oregano from the near by mountains. Owners made personal touch and especially are kind with children. In the garden there is a huge grill with tables and chairs where we prepared couple times lunch for us and friends. Local market fisherman is close and provide great variety of seafood and fish at reasonable price. Same with fresh fruits and vegetables. 100 ,eters away is small market with ''really everything''. We will be back for sure, because when our kids are happy we are happy too. Once again, great place for families with children.

A true sample of excellent hospitality!

If you plan to travel in Vourvourou you probably know that the place has nothing urban, only one road with houses and small hotels. If you are OK with that, then you are on the right place. Diaporos has great rooms, clean, new, nice sea view. Food was OK. Staff was excellent! Whatever you need it will be there. We had a family room with bunk bed. We got the great price for the package we got. We have small kids and we matched the period with a lot of families with kids, so they have a playground behind the hotel and the kids were alone out every evening. No one was making any problem for kids noise. We were so satisfied with our vacation there. You have a lot of nice beaches around, not so far away from Vourvourou. Lagonisi, Rodia, Karidi,... The only trouble there are mosquitoes. So if you are allergic, don't go there! It was a serious fight for us because my younger daughter is. You need to bring something for your room with antimosquito effect. You have in the drugstore in Nikiti adhesive bandages for kids as a protection. We also bought Fenistil roll-on for bites and then we were OK :)
You also have very weak wi fi in your room but you can always use it in rest area or buy sim card...

Great place with sea view room

We visited this hotel in July 2017, and we will never revisit! The rooms are small and uncomfortable, and you often don't have warm water in the bathroom. When we arrived, we found a bunch of somebody else's things in the closets and the room wasn't properly prepared for the new guests. However, the worst part is definitely food. In 10 days, we had only three or four different meals for both breakfast and dinner, and the amount of food you can eat is very limited - one slice of meat per person! And if you want more, the owner comes and yells at you! The managers of the hotel are very unpleasant and not willing to help you. Don't come to this hotel, because it's not worth the money they ask.

Terrible experience

It was horrible!!! We had their "best room" and it was a nightmare. The bathroom smells like hell, the lights are so dim that we couldn't see anything, and it looked like a barn. The food was really poor and it was being put in your plate so you wouldn't take more. Somebody took some fruit and the owner yelled at her for eating so much. It made everybody bad. The rain was pouring from the ceiling on the beds. The agency assured us that the hotel has a beach. That was a lie. You have to walk 500 m to a place that is occupied by boats. The actual beach is 2 km away. When we asked the owner about the beach that is on their site, they said they can post anything they like. He also told us that he can get us a sunbed to stay on the beach occupied by the boats. That wasn't even a sunbed, it was a pile of plastic.

Stay away from this "hotel"!!!

We were in Diaporos hotel in jun 2017. and it was very bad experience. So bad that I am writing my first review ever.

Water from the shower is switching form very cold to very hot and back every 30 seconds !!!
You can imagine how it always ends in tears with my 3 year old son and 11 months old daughter...

Second BIG disappointment is food - always only one meal and a lady is deciding how much you will eat (3 small meat balls per person, or one slice of fish R = 4-5 cm, ...). 
In every other hotel we visited in Greece (and other countries) you get at least tree different meals to choose and of course you can eat as much as you want.

Again, my advice is - don't come to this hotel.
