OMG so super clean!!!  Housekeeping does an amazing job. Amazing size rooms and fantastic service. I would visit here again and again when coming to Nafplio.  Convenient and Close to everything and comes with good breakfast. Not recommended if you can’t climb stairs. Unique style rooms

Be prepared to be captivated!

Very nice and clean rooms, with a touch of traditional. The location is great, as the pension is located in the city centre. Near many stores, cafes, restaurants and bars. The hostess is very friendly and informative about local attractions. Would definitely recommend.

Great room

Stayed in noisy room facing the street the bar crowd noise went on well past midnight, ear plugs helped. Bathroom lacking basics, needs shelf, a holder for shower handle & soap holder. Not up to basic standard.

Lively part of town but a few things lacking

We are on our tour of the Peloponnese. Yesterday evening we arrived to this beautiful little town and I was really surprised with its energy! I fully agree with Katherine C regarding the desription of the town.

As for the pension, it is located in the very heart of the old town. Free parking is available in the harbour, not far from the pension. The rooms look amazing! Everything is so nicely decorated and clean! As for the stairs, I beleive that they have rooms inside two buildings. We were in the one oposite to reception. Hmmm and I didn't find those stairs so complicated. It is true that they are a bit narrow but they were straight. 

We included breakfast in our booking. I liked it as well. They serve homemade jam made of oranges. Mmmm perfect!
The hosts are nice people. We didn't experience noise or anything that would make our holiday unpleasant.

Beautiful rooms in a stunnung town!

I’m so glad we stopped overnight at this very pretty seaside town.  It’s much cleaner than the big city of Athens and its restaurants and shops just seemed fresher, newer somehow, even though it’s the old town.  At the accommodation, be prepared for stairs.  Two very steep flights of uneven, listing, narrow stairs just to get to the checkin desk, then another short flight up to the rooms.  Thank goodness we had only one bag each and it was a challenge with that.  However, the location of the hotel itself is great, right in the middle of the old town with shops and restaurants lining every street, the harbor just a few minutes walk away and the road up the mountain to the castles, again just minutes away.  It's also a great location for a visit to Mycenae, barely a 25 minute drive and a must-see historical site.  Vicky the host provided a most wonderful recommendation for dinner at an award winning fish restaurant, Savouras Fish Tavern.  It was a fabulous!  And, Vicky must be acknowledged for her patience with our laundry.  One deciding factor of us staying at this place was that we learned we could do laundry there.  After almost two weeks on the road we were excited for some clean clothes.  I was concerned when Vicky insisted on doing our laundry.  We have many quick dry as well as shrinkable items, and underwear.  Not everything can go into the dryer, others can go into the dryer for only a few minutes, others until they’re bone dry and while it’s second nature to me, it must have seemed very foreign to her to have so many different types of fabrics.  It took some persuading to have her just work the machine and supervise.  We are grateful that she still had the patience to let me take care of my own clothes as much as she did.  

It would have been nice to have a view of something outside our window rather than the wall of the building next door, however this is a minor detail as we were only in the room to sleep briefly the one night we were there, the rest of the time we were out exploring and enjoying the highlights of this beautiful little town.

Great location in old town Nafplio!

Very conveniently located in the heart of the old town, this old house has been converted to a nice pension. The room was clean, spacious and tastefully decorated, and the bathroom has been remodeled since the last time I was there some five years ago, which was a pleasant surprise. The owner and staff are friendly, and the price is average for the area, I believe.
Two things to bear in mind, (a) due to the age of the building, the stairs are narrow and somewhat steep, and there is no elevator, so this would be a problem in case of mobility issues, and (b) it can be quite noisy from the cafe across the street.

Convenient location, nice room, friendly owner, noisy neighborhood!

They have done a great job with the rooms in this old building. They are modern and very comfortable. The staff was helpful, the beds comfortable and the location couldn't be better. It was very quiet in the internal room that I stayed in. The creaky stairs ad character but the rooms are modern and well taken care of.

Great location in Old Town

In the hearth of this old town ( former capital of Greece) you will find out a convenient place to stay and have fun!
In the nearby you will get whatever you need: food drinks shopping places, nice place to visit at a walk distance. Just five minutes on walk and you reach the port!

Cozy place to stay!

Exceptional stuff, good breakfast, clean and big room, nice view of the castle from balcony. Close to the beach and restaurants, souvenirs shops, castle, post office, supermarket, park, port, parking place

Lovely hotel in city center

We stayed at the Althaia for 2 nights on our way back to Athens from Elafonisos. There were five of us (four adults and one 6yo) across 2 rooms. 

The rooms were spacious, clean and stylishly furnished. One room was a standard double and the second a triple, which had a full size single and double bed. 

The hosts were available as we needed them and so very kindly let us use the amenities late in the day after checkout as we had a late flight from Athens. 

The accommodation itself is central to Nafplio with bars, restaurants and the sites all within walking distance. It was a little noisy in the evening in the room because of the proximity, but this didn't detract from our stay and in fact we felt added to the atmosphere. 

The rooms have all you can ask for - air con, large fridge, tea and coffee facilities and balconies to sit out on. 

A huge thank you to the hosts for their hospitality. We would most definitely stay here next time we're in Nafplio.
