Lovely apartments in a quiet location near to a beach and a short walk to restaurants. George the owner is absolutely lovely, kind, generous and very thoughtful. The cleaners are very pleasant and do a great job. The complex is well set out with very attractive gardens which are well maintained. George's Mum is a lovely lady who is always busy. We have just had 2 fantastic weeks at Philippos apartments in Nikiana, Lefkas. George and his Mum are lovely, so kind, generous and very thoughtful. All the grounds and apartments are really clean and well maintained , their staff do a great job. We would definitely stay again, such a peaceful break in lovely surroundings. Julie and Karl

Wonderful accommodation

We have just returned from our fantastic holiday staying in Philippos apartments. The reviews are all good because the family go above and beyond in all they do. Our accommodation was in one of the bungalows which was quite spacious with a large very comfortable bed. It overlooked beautiful gardens and in spite of being close to the main road, was surprisingly peaceful. Georges, the owner was extremely helpful and his lovely mother, I called Mumma is a very special lady. She prepared the breakfasts which for seven euros were amazing value and what was even better, we were given silver foil to wrap up any food to take away for later! The beach is very close by but be warned, there are large pebbles so a good idea to wear rubber bottomed shoes in the sea. The bus service is good and cheap. Only downside is the walk along the main road to the tavernas and a pity there were not a few more of these.

Fantastic Philippos apartments

We had a lovely stay at the Philippos. The accommodation was simple and traditional but had everything we needed. The kitchen had the basics and we prepared lunch and breakfast there every day, eating out for dinner. We had a nice balcony overlooking the gardens  which were well maintained. 
George and his team were really friendly and I have never stayed in a self catering place with such good housekeeping. Christina, you are a marvel! We didn't have any problems but I felt confident that George would have been more than happy to help if we had.
I really appreciated that everything was in the price so there were no hidden extras. We had aircon and a fan as well as a safety deposit box and, unlike some places, we didn't have to pay extra. George also built the tourist tax into the price so we didn't have to mess around with cash on the last day, as we have in previous places.
The beach was only a few minutes walk away. It was busy and you do need to factor in renting sun loungers because it was large pebbles but the water was clean and lovely to get into. 
The village of Nikiana was an attractive harbour and we enjoyed sitting with a cocktail just enjoying the views. There was a good selection of restaurant and tavernas, some better than others. They also had excellent 'supermarkets' in Nikiana and we ate really well from those. I have never had peaches like it!!
We were only there for a week and didn't hire a car but we did use the local buses and they were cheap, cool and reliable. We also took the car ferry over to Meganissi which was well worth a visit. The views from Sprirachori were spectacular and well worth the climb but don't expect lunch there. We had a lovely meal back down in the beach tavernas. 
Nidri is much bigger and has more in the way of shops and restaurants. And the walk up to the waterfall was well worth it.
I didn't understand why George featured so heavily in previous reviews. Having met him and his mum, I now do. They were lovely people!

Absolutely would recommend.

Just spent 2 weeks at this lovely hotel. When we arrived George greeted us with a smile and made us feel very welcome. He gave us 2 bottles of water which was a nice gesture. He then showed us to our room and explained everything to us .The free air con was a bonus The room was on the top floor above the main hotel and had a very large balcony with views to the mountains and a side view of the sea.
The cleaning staff worked like  " Trojans " and were very friendly and always left the room spotlessly clean. A big thank you to both of you xx
The nearest tavernas were a good 15 minute walk away . You have to be aware that the walk is alongside a very busy road, with no marked foot path. And you have to be alert to watch out for the oncoming traffic. Once you were there though, we ate at some lovely tavernas with great food. Our favourites were the the Apico Cafe and the Pantazis Tavern, they all served great meals  with a lot of choice on the menus to choose from and reasonable prices. Would recommend the house wines to try.

FANTASTIC HOTEL WITH NICE SETTINGS

Still here but about to leave for home. 
From the moment I arrived, George was a fantastic host- were given 2 bottles of water, a bus map with times and info and shown politely to my room.
I can see why this apartment hotel gets so many 5 star reviews. 
Cleanliness and size of room is very good.
It may not have a pool. But Is a 2 minute walk to the k beach bar/ beach (which is very nice indeed)
The grounds are very nice, but most of all George and family are great hosts..
Location was perfect for me. A short walk into nikiana for restaurants and supermarkets. Short bus ride to Nidri or lefkas town from a very nearby bus stop (the bus stops are only on one side of the road, so if you are going the opposite direction… Stand opposite the bus stop and wave when the bus comes- usually has dot matrix on top left corner showing it’s destination.)
It was end of season so not very busy with people (just what I needed tbh) 
Thanks George and family for making my stay memorable. Was very nice to meet/ talk with you during my stay.
Lefkas is a very beautiful island, easy to get around on the bus or by car/moped/quad.
And there are companies that hire bikes and do guided tours..

Fantastic holiday in episkopos.

1 week of dream! all perfect, single room with cooking corner, mattress with topper, comfortable. perfectly functioning, bathtub with water and a terrace facing east from a fairy tale in which to eat breakfast. daily cleaning and towel change every 2g. paradise beach (ciottoli) 150m from the structure, equipped at 10€ daily (umbrella and 2 beds + water bottle). Special thanks to Mrs. Lula and Mr. Giorgio, who speaks perfectly Italian and has answered all our requests, with courtesy and availability.

We're going back! We're going back!

My daughter and I have just returned from this wonderful place. The rooms were spacious and well equipped and we only had to ask and were given anything we needed. The location was perfect just 2 minutes from the beach and Georges recommended the best restaurant in Nikiana which we loved so much we kept going back. 
Lefkada is a beautiful island which we enjoyed exploring in our hire car. 
We will definitely be back!

Late summer break

We stayed in Giorgio's apartments for 7 nights and it was a wonderful vacation. Beautiful house, great attention to cleaning(they replaced the shower tiles for 3 times in 7gg) excellent location, in an excellent area for those who intend to tour the island. Giorgio is very available, speaks well Italian and is attentive to meet all the needs of his customers. C has recommended many taverns where to go to eat one better than the other. We have received so much attention also from Giorgio's mother who is always present and caring towards her customers.

It's a wonderful vacation.

You will not be disappointed if you book here. Georges who runs this place, is so kind, relaxed and welcoming. he is also really helpful with all your needs. 
The apartment comes with air con, and a small kitchen.  ours even had  3 balconies. it also has a car park to the rear.
Even better, the beach is only 200m away, perfectly quiet with ultra clear sea, and a 
K snak bar on the beach.
Only 10 / 15 mins away from the busy tourist resort of Nidri. but we prefer Nikiana which is just a few mins down the road.
