We stayed for nine days at this wonderful hotel. Wonderful for lots of reasons.  

Location: On the beach at the bottom of Afytis, this hotel's terraces looked out on the turquoise waters of the Aegean.

Room: Our  Afrodite Junior Suite was spacious, beautifully furnished and well maintained during our stay. With its own spa pool.

Food: We went H/B and certainly no regrets. The evening  buffet was always fresh, tasty, hot, varied, catering for all tastes, and plentiful  -  combinations  changing  nightly - beef, lamb, pork, fish, chicken, salads, potatoes, rice, vegetables,  pasta, Greek specialities. Breakfast included cooked options as well cereals, myself  fruits, continental meats.

Facilities: With two pools and a private beach, with sunbeds, canopies, beach towels and waiter service what more could you ask for?

Views:  the sea was a beautiful turquoise and tranquil during this time, and lovely to sit out after dinner on the terrace.

Staff: the staff were terrific and a   smile given was a smile returned; a kalimera offered, a kalimera returned.  The hotel management should be very proud of the level of service offered by: Danah, Laura, Dimitra, Alketa, Michelis, Irene, and Alexandria; and the quality of the food cooked by Lillian, Georg, Electra and Efi. 

Of course there were a few things that could have been better, but nothing that spoiled a wonderful stay and holiday.



Afitis Boutique Hotel ☆☆☆☆☆    a Triple A stay 

It's a beautiful hotel. Unfortunately, it's very difficult to understand at the reception, because the lady doesn't speak German, she speaks very fast English, which I could only understand in a meaningful way. The rooms are very nice and clean. The breakfast buffet is very rich, and good. The dinner is quite simple and one-sided for a five-star hotel (in Austria it's a maximum of four stars). There was mostly only cooked food, and the whole week was always the same fish. Grilled meat was a rarity. The snack was very good. A rarity were the drinks prices. A glass of wine between 9.50 and 12.50 euros. 0.33 l beer between 8.00 and 9.50 euros. A 14.00 euros etc. I'm not going to buy this hotel anymore.

A beautifully located house with some flaws

Location and water top. Atmosphere on the terrace top- no guest is using this evening. Dinner in the evening bad. Sandwiches at noon very good. Rooms clean. Staff friendly, bosses unfriendly. Beach infrastructure may need a renovation. The village of Afythos is great, good restaurants and boutiques.

Nice location, bad dinner

The elegant, well-maintained hotel has its own beach, beds and umbrellas are included, the luxury rooms are superb (with its own Jacuzzi), buffet dining is very versatile, whether breakfast or dinner, there is always a variety, a perfect place to relax and feel good.

A perfect place to relax and feel at ease!

The hotel is beautifully situated on the beach and well maintained. The staff is friendly and hospitable and our suite was spacious and functional. The only thing the bathroom was - as usual in hotels - with flaws. The shower was leaky and the water was mostly running out and the lighting was more like a funnel. I always wonder who designs something like this as an architect. Breakfast was good as a buffet, the coffee came from an instant machine, which we really didn't have to be. We had a half-board, which was okay the first few days, the buffet slowly became monotonous. The wine tickets then got more and more each night because his taste wasn't available. This, of course. After that, having laid down that the season was not included anymore - but it wasn't really our problem.

Note to self....read Tripadvisor before making a booking next time.  MRSTCaterham hit the nail on the head and Tripadvisor description not correct
e.g sandy beach.....rocky in parts, massage outdoors....not there, deluxe rooms...standard 3 star in UK with the smallest bathroom ever seen in a hotel, king size bed....no, TV channels ....only CNN, DVD/CD...no, luxury bathroom ameneties....one small soap for 2 people for 7 nights, bath....no, table tennis...no, theme nights....no.
Equally hotel website an exaggeration of what the hotel actually provides.
Good points....location, fluffy towels, breakfast buffet, transfers, staff, cleanliness.
Bad points.......expectation of 5 star hotel and website description, no bar for pre and post dinner drinks (too cold outside), some health and safety issues, not allowed to eat lunch in open air, no comfortable lounges for 1 day of inclement weather, no drinks service round pool...you had to go and get it and the self service dinner buffet - hot food not hot....lukewarm at best verging on cold.  Told Chef about it but no action, so only good thing about dinner was the local wine the cold starters and sweets.  Sad thing was quality of raw product was good to start with. Also only hotel we have stayed in on a half board basis that does not give an allowance against eating a la carte...so you would pay twice for your dinner!!
Badly needs management who care about their clients and about the service they provide, food at dinner....could be 5 star with that.  as elements of it were at least 4 star.

5 star.....I think not!!

Hotel is set in a beautiful location and well maintained throughout. Public areas are well appointed and very stylish and modern.  We paid for a garden view room. The room we were allocated 115 was small and looked onto a wall (see photos) not a garden view in my opinion, the bathroom was also small and  the shower especially im a uk size 10 and I struggled to manoeuvre in it. This all kind of spoilt our experience in the hotel and if im honest didn't expect this type of room given the kaliber of the rest of the hotel. 

Lovely stylish hotel but disappointed with room. 

Afitis boutique hotel is a spotless place with spacious and modern rooms. The beach is really incredible with crystal blue water and there were always sun beds available at any time of the day. Alternatively you can choose the beautiful pool area with really comfortable sun-beds.  The staff is very kind and helpful. Breakfast is amazing and if you choose the added buffet option you will be pleasantly surprised. There is an amazing selection of food to please the most demanding. Don’t forget to visit the traditional village of Afytos which is located in a walking distance from the hotel.
This property deserves its star rating. We will visit it again for sure.

PERFECT PLACE FOR A RELAXING PEACEFUL STAY

We had a few unforgettable days at the Afitis Hotel. The location is absolute madness, right by the sea and with private beach. The team from the reception, the excellent restaurant staff to the cleaning staff were simply super warm and friendly. However, the rooms are quite small, we had a deluxe room with sea view (very nice view), 2 in the bathroom was not possible, for the suitcases on the ground was no room. The wooden terrace urgently needs to be renovated (Stolperfall). Nice would be a regular service on the beach. As a buffet dinner was sufficiently varied and delicious. After a week, the dining became somewhat solitary. Despite the criticisms mentioned, we felt very much like breakfast and we felt very well restored. We also grew up well.

Just turn it off.

The mirror of the hallways! When the reality is not what you are shown in the catalogs and websites. Small rooms, tiny bathrooms with overgrown furnishings. Wellness&SPA? Closed for 2022! Thanks for announcing it. We want to organize trips and excursions, we go to the reception and what response we get? They deliver us the advertisement slip from an operator with an office in the center of Afitos with a kind:  contact them via whatsapp, they will answer you. The infrastructure has only one restaurant but breakfast, lunch and dinner. The first and last buffet lunch. Today's lunch?
