Antonis and Maria - Villa Maria owners are the most friendly and helpful Greek people we met during our Cyclades trip. We had couple of requests and they help us with everything, way beyond standard hotel assistance! on top of that that is a family run business and they are so nice family, we had tears in our eyes when leaving:) What we also appreciated is they are very inclusive and tolerant people with respect to people and animals:) Simply like that - if the owners are giving their heart to the business you see it and feel it in every single aspect of your holiday. Villa itself  is a very quiet and relaxed place. Close to everything, but far enugh to have a calm rest. The pool is fantastic, crystal clean and big one with direct view on the hill of Chora with 3 famous chappels on top of it. Hotel has only few rooms so even when fully booked you dont meet other guests:) iEven if not advertised on the web, they offer nice simple breakfast choice like greek yogurth with fruits/cearels, omlette, greek salad, toest, great cofee, fresh orange juice etc. so you dont need to walk anywhere or worry about the food and drink:) we were always happy to order breakfast and it it at lovely veranda with other guests. You can also always buy a cold mineral water with the shop price, so they do not take any tip on it. What we also liked is they are cleary targeting adult tourist and are warning  up front about house rules, that were perfectly in line of what we would have expected from other guests as well:)  so although we were on Ios, that is a popular direction for youngsters we have not been in the heart of party zone:) we were staying in the ground level rooms with nice patios, that are very nicely renovated and that was one of bonuses we got for free, as we booked 2 rooms and one was at economy standard, so we got upgraded:) villa is located max 10 min walking distance to ferry and to bus stop to Chora. also walking distance of 20 min to one of 2 most beautifull beaches of the island ( there is also a big beach 200 m from the hotel). Generally Ios is absolutely lovely island, with beautiful Chora and stunning sunset views from the top of the hill. As it is targeting a young tourists we found the prices cheaper than on other surronding islands, as well as the variety of food is more international - even with pizzas and pastas:) generaly - we love our stay there. Great hosts,  very relaxed stay!

Villa Maria is a beautiful, quaint and traditional feeling Bed and Breakfast. We were made to feel instantly welcome and at home when we arrived early on the first morning. The Villa is run by the owners who live on site. Maroussa and her husband are extremely friendly, helpful and willing to go out of their way (for example driving my friend and I to the port when our stay was over). The villa itself is comfortable, very clean and our room was simple yet had everything we needed including an outdoor patio area. The pool area is peaceful and the nearest beach is a 2 minute walk away. 
The breakfast available was freshly prepared to order and delicious - we loved the fresh fruit salad with local yogurt, honey and the most beautiful figs which had come from the owner's family's trees! I would highly recommend Villa Maria and will certainly return if I get the opportunity!

What an absolute gem!

I have no words; Antonios and Maroussa are AMAZING. 

We arrived here as quite a loud bunch at 2am on a late ferry from Paros and Antonios (the owner of the hotel) took the liberty to pick us up from the port that late; that is when we knew that we were in for an amazing experience. 

The hotel in itself is located a little further away from town (closer to Pathos) and it isn't the top pick when it comes to youngsters who are looking to party.

The hotel boasts an incredible pool as well as breakfasts/drinks which can be ordered through the staff who also happen to be the owners.

The rooms were quite nice however Ios in general has a space issue and therefore the rooms don't have an incredible amount of space but are more than good enough for a 3-4 night stay.

It isn't expensive to travel from here to town, Far Out Beach Club or Pathos and the owners are happy to direct you to the best possible transport means.

We look forward to returning to this hotel and experiencing the incredible hospitality of Antonions and Marousa.

A family worth remembering!!

The staff/family that live here are so friendly and welcoming to their home when you arrive and are happy to assist with anything. The rooms are clean, modern, spacious and well designed. The pool area is also clean and well maintained

They even organized our washing for us while went out for dinner, calling an external Laundromat having it picked up/dropped off for us. 

Definitely recommend this accommodation for people staying in Ios as it’s very close to the port

Super clean/Amazing staff

Although my boyfriend and I booked this hotel on the day, we were not disappointed. The owners were so so lovely and so helpful and made us feel comfortable. The pool side is very peaceful with sunbeds and chairs surrounding it. If you prefer the beach, it is only a 2 minute walk away and the port 5 a minute walk. 

All in all, I would recommend staying here for the value, customer service, location and cleanliness. 

One suggestion I would give is music by the poolside. Especially in the evening. And lower the price of drinks around the pool too as they were expensive.

Great value!

Stayed here for 2 nights and fell in love with this hotel. It was away from the craziness of the island and felt like your own private getaway. The owner was so lovely and made sure you were comfortable and honestly went above and beyond what is normally expected. It is a bit of a walk to the port but definitely manageable. The rooms were spacious and clean and the common areas were beautifully decorated. Would 100% recommend this to anyone going to Ios! 

Definitely coming back

Villa Maria is a peaceful, nice clean spot next to the port and 100 meters from Yialos beach. It is a 15 minute, partly up hill walk away from Chora and there are also buses available nearby ( buses from Koumpara beach to chora/Milopotas are available every hour )
The owners and their family are lovely, friendly, warm people willing to help you and we really enjoyed our stay!
We definitely come back to Villa Maria and Ios.
