Wow! I cannot believe I am writing this review a while after visiting. 50 countries and over 100+ 5* hotels. Genuinely the very best one I have ever being to. Yes, it is popular on social media (for a good reason). Yes It is popular amongst younger "instagrammers" (for a legitimate reason). Yes it is 'over hyped' for good reason. But fear not if you prefer a quieter relaxing holiday. Food I still dream about the meals I had. They are premium meals. Some are outside the all inclusive package, but even as a picker eater and someone who has had my fair share of exquisite meals world wide, this hotel has it all. the dishes are Michelin star quality. Breakfast has it all. Large spread, think champagne at breakfast with live music. Think carpaccio over a good quality of wine. Think of authentic Asian cuisine. I ate so much I did not realise I missed an entire part of the hotel until check out Drinks Most all inclusive would provide watered down drinks or bottom shelf drinks but no! I experienced premium cocktails, premium whiskeys premium champagne. I believe the bartender might be a sommelier (or at least very experienced or trained). Tip - try the house non -alcoholic cocktail. Atmosphere You would be mistaken to believe this hotel has been overtaken by younger obnoxious people but quite the parallel, it fully retains it's adults only policy and adults only vibe. Think of a constant 90s music jazz bar. low nuisance yet manging to adequately attend to guests of all ages. Lovely evening entertainment that does not disrupt the rest of the rooms. Low disruption throughout. Rooms Exceptionally clean. Great amenities and toiletries. Nothing ever to much to ask for. Reminiscent of a four seasons hotel. Large counter tops for toiletries. Mirrors. Clean space. Leading to (room dependant) large airy spaces and a bright environment. and private pool rooms. After a long flight and exceptional journey, the hotel went above and beyond to make sure I had an eventful birthday (to the point I was almost overwhelmed by their kindness). Name it, a swim up floating breakfast, fireworks, a merman who delivered my breakfast, so much cake (which I still dream about), an entertainment performance, a concierge. A personal message This hotel is often compared to the Maldives. It is not the Maldives, It is an immersive experience in the humble island of Greece. I have been to the Maldives and I would choose this hotel without a doubt over it. What you are paying for is quality, experienced staff, a dedicated (but not intrusive staff), a well managed system who has clearly done their research and understands their clientele. Having travelled to 5* hotels in Maldives, Fjii, Zanzibar, Mauritius et all, this hotel is home. And I am exceptionally hard to impress but these are people who have put out at a quality product, understand their audience, listens to their audience, are trained to be customer focused and deliver hard and soft service. There are many proclaimed 5* hotels in Greece and Chania but this tops the chart for a reason. There is a reason this hotel is still reigning top of its charts years after being "popular". An absolute pleasure to have stayed here and will hopefully return one day with family. Please book and no doubt you will have the breath-taking experience I had.
