I booked a double room of 25 m2, based on the pictures and the description on the booking, for which I paid €318 in advance. When we arrived, the girl at the reception told us that she made a mistake and that she would accommodate us in a smaller room and we were going to change it after 2 nights. 
After we went and saw the room (it has a maximum of 10 m2 and it doesn't even appear on the website) I asked if we could change it earlier. The girl at the reception told us that we might succeed if we waited to talk to the owner the next day. After we waited for him until 11 a.m., the owner didn't even pay attention to us and told the girl at the reception to tell us that we were changing it after another day. 
On the day we had to change it, they asked us to vacate the room we were staying in by 11 a.m., to leave our luggage at the reception and to return after 3 p.m. to receive the originally reserved room. We went to the beach, we came back at 7 p.m., they got very nervous and agressive because we made a complaint on booking.com and they offered us 150 to leave. We didn't accept their money and they kicked us out of the hotel. 
They actually made fun of us and laughed in our faces. 
On departure, a representative of the hotel followed us for several kilometers on a scooter. 
I had to drive all night, about 1000 km. Please avoid them or report on booking.com if you go and something is not right.

Some ordinary crooks who made fun of us and kicked us out of the hotel

When we arrived pretty late at night, the hosts lit up the path to the reception with tea light candles, which was a lovely touch! Checking in was relatively fast and seamless, and the staff were welcoming. The rooms were somewhat basic, but had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, with a hob and wardrobe with hangers. However, we had some issues with the room following an extreme rain storm, with a small leak in the bathroom. This would be expected due to the severity of the weather, which took even locals by surprise. The hotel is around a 10 minute walk from the centre of Afitos, which was handy.

Good budget hotel, friendly staff and pretty near to Afitos centre

Located on main road, simple, no frills accommodation.  Unable to modify/regulate temperature of air conditioning - only possible to switch on or off.   Bathroom extremely small with small shower tray with shower curtain that sticks to you.  Unsure how a larger person would cope in the small space!  Room cleaning, bedding and towel change every 2 days. Although didn't use the facility, photos misrepresent size of pool - smaller in real life!

No frills

Warning to travelers out of pity, run away from this unpleasant private hotel, tiny pool, very dirty room, dirty sheets, disgusting bathroom, mold on the walls, smell of sewage, no brightness in the rooms, ban for children to play in the pool between 2pm and 5pm!!!!!! Order from management!!! As a result we stayed 1 hour in this hotel and of course the hotel manager refused to pay us the deposit of 250€ we had paid!!!!! SVP MAY SEND THE MESSAGE TO THE SOUS RESPONS!!!! It is outrageous to welcome poor people who work hard in such establishments!!!!

I'm going to tell you something.

My family and I were supposed to stay at this property for 9 nights. 33 minutes (literally) after making the reservation, we were forced to cancel (due to the little one). A detailed reason was sent to the hotel who did not even bother to acknowledge receiving my correspondence and played dumb, only to call us on the day of the booking to inquire why we have not checked in??? 

When (puzzled) I asked them and offered proof that we had cancelled and that I actually wrote to them, a lady in poor English said no cancellation received - which is not true since I received an automated email confirming the same and ended the call. The owner - couldn't care less as per the booking engine who were understanding and tried to resolve the issue but with zero success.

Regardless, they went happily to charge 30% of the entire stay! Very convenient for them. Greed! Careful when you book, these guys are ruthless.

No Professionalism

The hotel lies besides the main highway and costal road which runs down the length of the peninsular. Those heading south in their own vehicles or hire cars should not find any difficulty in locating it. Approaching Afitos from the north drivers will note a Lidl supermarket on their right hand side. Some one hundred metres or so past that, and separated by a filling station, stand the villages main bus stops, facing one another across the highway, and the stopping place for those arriving by bus. The hotel is situated a further one hundred metres to the south and has adequate free parking along, and beyond, the full length of its frontage to the often busy road. 
     Note this is its true location. Certain maps erroneously show it as being sited in the village. We booked through Booking.com - and did so based on the wrongly given location. We were traveling as a family with small children, and therefore wanted somewhere as far from busy traffic as possible. This proved to be anything but the case!
     Once at the hotel the path to reception runs to the left past the hotels split level swimming pool and is attractively decorated with shrubs and flowering plants. Following the path around the side of the pool to the right, past comfortable cushioned seats placed thoughtfully beneath a retractable roof, access is given to the reception and main breakfast/dining area. Whilst the seating space inside is somewhat limited it remains a moot point as those eating will invariably choose the seating at the tables around the pool where they can enjoy the air and the chirping of a couple of caged song birds.
     Breakfast, if taken here, is of a continental variety, at a cost of five euros a head, though those with young children will find they eat on a two for one basis. It is a help yourself buffet where there is no problem for those wishing to top up. The food consists of such things as plain and chocolate croissants, bread, a small variety of cereals, a minor selection of sliced cheese and meat, boiled eggs, fruit and yoghurts. There is also coffee, tea, orange and cherry juices. A limited ‘fast food’ style menu is available throughout the day and evening. We only used the service on two occasions and were both times presented with passable quality food and at a reasonable value for money. A further selection of coffee’s, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages are also available to be enjoyed at the poolside.
     The rooms measure roughly thirty square metres in total, are easy on the eye, boast en-suite facilities, most reasonable wardrobe space, drawers, dressing table with mirror, a small table with two comfortable chairs and a wall mounted television. An extra bed, or bunks, can be provided for small children, although this does slightly crowd the room. The attractively laid tiled floors are cool underfoot, windows and doors have internally operated external drop down shutters and the air conditioning is both effective and efficient. The small balconies provide seating for two people, a small table, electric point and clothes drying rails. The en suite, whilst small, is clean and provides a toilet, basin with large mirror and full shower facilities in a neatly, fully tiled, self-contained unit. The first, and overall, impression of the rooms is that they are attractive and well planned with attention given to detail with a view to the overall comfort of the guests.
     In many ways much of the life of the hotel is centred on the swimming pool, although pools rather than pool may better describe this, as it is separated into two distinctly different areas. Access is available from 9.00 until 14.00 and 18.00 to 23.00. The lower, larger, pool is directly outside the reception area and drops to a depth of well below two metres. The upper pool is far shallower at perhaps half a metre, but enjoys built in seating around the edges, and proudly boasts overhead water spouts, underwater jets and a variety of other pumped water movement devices. Above part of the main pool, effectively both connecting and dividing the pools, is a glass floored area providing space for tables, chairs and sun loungers The lower pool is partially shaded by fine drapes and the previously mentioned retractable roof. For inclement weather a folding glass screen protects the entire seating area in what would become something akin to a conservatory. Stainless steel has been thoughtfully used to effect with the steps, railings and spouts, and compliments rather than detracts from the overall visual impression. As with the rooms, thought has obviously been applied to the overall design and a professional finish has been achieved.
     The staff are very friendly, ever cheerful and as helpful as, frankly, only the Greeks can be. Their welcome is a genuinely warm one as is the greeting received at each and every crossing of paths. That said they remain unobtrusive and undemanding helping to make any guests stay a pleasure, and certainly something to treasure when returning to the often grim realities of the workaday world.

     Without doubt our stay, and that of those other guests who stayed at the same time, was a happy one. However, as with everything in life, there were minor downsides and areas where a little tweaking would improve the overall effect. So, in order to provide balance, the following is also worthy of mention.
     Whilst the main highway gives unparalleled access to the hotel it also provides noise from vehicle movement, particularly so at weekends in the height of summer. That said the shutters remove the sounds at night and the foliage, screening and general sounds from the pool do the same during the day downstairs – but for the purists, the noise is there. The highway also presents a clear and ever present danger for pedestrians, especially for those with small children, when accessing or egressing the hotel. Whilst the walk to the nearest side street, leading to the village centre, is only some sixty metres away, and there is a form of verge, there is no pavement, and the verge, rutted and dipping as it goes, was only formed by cars, trucks and busses bouncing along it in the first place, none of which anyone would wish to encounter whilst walking along it.
     The reception appeared open at all times, certainly all reasonable times, however it was not always staffed, which sometimes led to a wait of several minutes. This was brought to our attention one morning when collecting passports, so we might change up money at a bank in a nearby town. We waited ten minutes at reception only to miss our bus by one minute and have to wait a further hour for the next. Not life changing, but a mild irritation when in a hurry and worth remembering.
     Our room, whilst well-appointed, well-designed and comfortable, possessed minor flaws which really should have been picked up upon and rectified. There was nothing to spoil the overall stay, which really was a much needed tonic, but some minor things were noteworthy despite proving wholly insignificant. The bathroom mirror, although a sensible size, had several areas where the mirror backing no longer existed. This needed replacing but was held to the wall with tile adhesive rending the task a difficult one initially – but worthwhile! The recessed lighting worked very well for the room, but would have been just that little bit better if all the lights worked.  A sheet had a clear hole in it from a cigarette burn, but the biggest area of concern was the children’s bunks. Firstly the mattresses were too hard for any of us to sleep on – to the degree I’m sure ebony or African Ironwood would have been a far softer option. We got over the problem by effectively lying on these ‘shelves’ and taking it in turn to sleep on the far more comfortable main bed. Secondly, the bunk was pushed up against the room’s open and exposed electric trip meter, which could be easily touched or kicked by a child whilst rolling in their sleep.
     The pool is certainly a big plus point for the hotel, and the children enjoyed it immensely. Time, effort and money had clearly been spent on its design and construction. It is therefore unfortunate slight defects mar its overall presentation. The stainless steel which works so well would work just that little bit better if rails which have been bent were straightened or replaced, and that which has worked lose, even under the water, were reattached firmly. However the biggest criticism remains for the underwater lighting, some of which remains free to float lose in the pool, tethered only by its electric supply cable, something which could prove nothing short of lethal. 

     Overall impression? A comfortable hotel offering good amenities with a charming staff, but in slightly the wrong location, and in desperate need of a part time maintenance man.

200 metres short of paradise

The pictures on internet are lying. By looking at the pictures, one would think of this hotel as one with a pretty big pool, nice big rooms and up to date.
We booked a room with 3 beds because we wanted some space. The room we got was very small with one (small) double bed in the middle of the room, and a bunk bed stuffed in a corner. The madrasses in the beds were extremly hard!
The bath room was extremly small. One could hardly move in there. The water flow was bad, and some days there weren't any hot water. 
There were no kitchen supplies in the room, except for a refrigerator. By asking, we got a water boiler, 2 mugs and some plastic spoons to make coffee. 
The pool area was very small, and built in, with no place to put out sun beds.
We stayed for 10 nights, and had cleaning and new towels 3 times, and new bed sheets twice. 
The hotel is located by the main road, with lot of traffic all day long. 
The AC didn't work for 3 of the days we were there, still the room was comfortable chilled. :)
5 minutes walk to the center, 15 minutes walk to the beach, hillside down, hillside up.
The lady owner was very nice and helpfull! :)
The wifi worked perfectly. :) Still you will not be able to print anything at the hotel, if you need to.
We will not stay at this hotel in the future.

Nice staff, but not worth the price...

It's nice, cozy, stylish... pretty comfortable atmosphere. It's like the city you're in. But far from the sea. There's no shuttle.
