Hotel located near the centre of Triberg and easy to reach. Good reception from the owner who has undertaken to explain how to reach some sites of tourist interest by also giving us the relevant guide map. The hotel is quite dated (the 1960s/70) as can be seen from the external conditions of the structure itself, but this, of itself, is not a defect. The room on the 1st floor with well-cleaned and ordered carpeted floor, sufficiently spacious for two people and the bathroom with a shower is a little too small.

... a hotel of old times...

We stayed for two nights. It's true that the decoration is very simple and would not hurt to renovate, but the truth is that we've been very good and if we returned to Triberg, we would repeat. Why? 1.- the attention. We arrived early, about 10:30 a.m. The room was not ready but we were able to leave things and meanwhile, the owner gave us a map with lots of annotations of her hand and handwriting.

I was treated very warmly.

Although the decor was dated, the care taken of us by our host was excellent. The location is very convenient for walking to the waterfalls and exploring the town. We had a room at the back of the hotel which was very quiet. i think the front facing rooms would be noisier on the main road.
We arrived on a Thursday but the kitchens were closed for the evening meal. However the host suggested the take away opposite the Hotel and we were able to eat this food (Pizza) in the hotel dining room. The next day we arranged to eat in and we were fed a traditional meal of schnitzel prepared by the hosts themselves.
Breakfast was excellent and we were encouraged to take leftovers with us for our lunch. A very good place to stay in Triberg.

Really friendly and helpful hosts. Accommodation comfortable and ideal for exploring the town on foot.

We accompanied a relative who was staying there and as he did not speak English or German, we made the interlocutor.The owner ignored us by speaking and addressed my relative who did not know anything.When we pointed it out to him, he responded roughly that he had nothing to do with us, that we were away and that we were not his client.When we entered the room we saw the most ugly thing we have ever seen in life, the half-made wedding bed, with a sheet covering half the bed and the other not, because I was traveling alone.

Completely unadvised, old-fashioned, miserable, unpleasant to the owner.

Good value hotel on Main Street in Triberg. The man who checked us in was very knowledgeable and kind. Managed to park car round the back. The hotel is very clean and has lots of character. Quite retro in fact! Room was very hot when we stayed (July) but road to noisy to leave window open. Waterfall a 10 minutes walk away.

One night stop

The owners try to be very accommodating in this slightly dated hotel.  It is near the town center.  The room was nice sized, but the bed was lacking.  The breakfast was adequate.  The price was inexpensive.  The clock shops are a rugged 15 minute walk.  This is a nice town to visit nestled among the hills.  There can be some road noise.

Small Family owned hotel

If we were too late to know the roads and arrived at 11pm at the Hotel and the owner, even though they closed at 10:30, was waiting for us with a smile to give us the key to the room, a map on which he explained what to see in the village and gave us free entrance to the waterfall. He accompanied us to the room. We apologize again for the delay in arrival. Although the Hotel is old (you can't ask for more for the price), the room is very spacious and the bed and pillow are very good.

Very friendly and helpful owners they helped us a lot by giving informations about the region. very clean room, no bad smells , 5 mins walk to the black forest, 3 mins walk to the market place and shops

Excellent hotel

I must say that the owners showed us a great time. They helped us with parking, and they scoped out the local attractions.

We really enjoyed the food and service in the traditional restaurant. Patrons included hotel guests and locals.

Don't expect a lot of frills. There is no elevator, nor is there air conditioning. Having said this, the hotel is very charming, quaint, and authentic.

I have stayed in a range of hotels in Triberg, and I would definitely book this hotel again.

Charming old hotel in the center of town

The hotel is only suitable for guests who have no right to accommodation at all. The hotel has stood for a long time. The room layout is very simple and not suitable for a longer stay.
