Eitting is a municipality in the Upper Bavarian county of Erding and a member of the Oberding administrative community. According to the pension itself, the pension can only be reached with its own car, since public transport is not very well planned with the place - so you are dependent on a car. Room No. 14 Due to our short-term spontaneous booking for the roof, we were able to be contacted by the owner, only one double bed > double bed room, which we have accepted as standard in this case. These double bed rooms have no return tickets, but have the same early morning breakfast, with the difference that in the second hour we could only be accommodated for a short time in the second floor, since we had to be accommodated in the second floor.

Second visit to the boarding house!

The Pension Scharl is located in the Upper Bayer Eitting, close to Munich Airport and the world's largest thermal power station, Therme Erding. The Pension is family-run. In the Pension there are: double rooms / single rooms / apartments & holiday apartments. In the garden there is a barbecue area / children's playground & a terrace. Air travellers have a shuttle bus available for a fee, which can be reached by car in 12 minutes, the nearest city Erding in 10 minutes and the Therme Erding in 10 minutes. Arrival should be done by your own car, as the OPNV in Eitting is very limited, or call out to Pentaons rather conveniently - this is also much more direct than a shower from the Pension / Home / Family, and if you want to go directly to the top of the site, we have been able to check the water for the next 5 days, and we have been able to check out the best of this morning, and we have been able to check out the water from the top of the room for a total of 4 days, and then we have been able to check out the water

Pension in Eitting best suited for recreation

Great! Room very nicely decorated! Everything clean and neat. The house owner and son are mega friendly, attentive and always a little small talk on the lips! Parking okay. Breakfast all you need, made cheese juice delicious sandwiches and cafe from the full-machine👍😀

Family business

I chose this hotel as my flight from Munich Airport was really early next morning. From my side good recommended: Only 14min drive to the Airport, quite to rest, Friendly owner and 2-3 dinner options nearby walking distance away. If you like airplanes their landings and take-offs will keep you company - for me not annoying. 

Nice, cosy Hotel close to Munich Airport

I've been to this boarding house quite a few times in the last 12 years and I come back regularly. You're very warmly received and feel comfortable around. Everything is clean, well maintained and smells good. The rooms are being renovated or modernized; like in a fancy hotel 👍🏼 The breakfast is rich and delicious. The coffee is also great. There's everything your heart desires. The boarding house is in a small rural area, but you're in a few minutes to Erding or even quickly to the airport, thermal area, etc. I can only recommend the boarding house Scharl am Maibaum. It gives me 10 stars ⭐️

Top pension / supernet owners and staff

This family operates a 20 room pension.  It is not far from MUC (<10 miles) in a rural town environment.  Modern facility with very clean rooms. Dining room is available for breakfast and several restaurants (Italian and Gernan) within easy walking distance.  Renada (sp?) even showed me where to go for a nice flat 3 or 4 mile run very close by. I only stayed one night but thoroughly enjoyed it. They even leave the refrigerator open and you can treat yourself to a beer and pay on check out! Cost was about $75.

The Location: in the village of Eitting.

The Room: Good-sized King-bed suite. Enough space for international travelers to unpack comfortably. Usual amenities were in the room. 
Minimalist, modern style. Furnishings were in reasonable repair. Views over the carpark/street. Air-con/heating worked well.

The Staff: All staff we encountered were pleasant and courteous.

Food: Onsite restaurant is located on the ground floor, pleasant views to the garden. Breakfast buffet included a modest variety of: cereals, yogurt, cheeses, meats (unfortunately only pork products), breads/pastries, hard-boiled eggs. 
We had takeaway dinner from the Italian restaurant which is literally across the road from the hotel.

Overall Impression: A pleasant, modern, quiet hotel for an overnight stay. Be advised that there is no lift, may be an issue for those who cannot carry their luggage up-/down-stairs.

Pleasant stay at Scharl am Maibaum

Only about 30 minutes by car from the Messe München, this is an ideal way to relax and sleep in peace from the stress of the trade fair. I felt very comfortable during the 4 days of stay - thanks to a newly renovated room, a very clean bathroom and a breakfast, as we know it from before - with very high-quality ingredients. The boss herself is very hospitable (the other staff probably too - I just didn't meet).

Perfect balance of the stress of the measurement

On the occasion of a visit to the Munich Fair I stayed overnight at the Scharl and confirm that it is a minimal but functional and clean hotel in a small rural centre near the airport.

Night and day

My wife and I stayed here for one night during the week before Christmas, just before doing a coach tour of Central Europe.

We did not expect such a warm and friendly reception from the owner, who even drove us to Erding to catch a train into Munich City (the train takes just over half an hour for this trip). The location is very quite and relaxing, and was perfect before a busy few days over Christmas. If we had not stayed at this pension, we would not have discovered the nearby town of Erding, which we thoroughly enjoyed, visiting the local Christmas market and a restaurant for lunch. If you're looking for quick access to- or the bright lights of the city of Munich, then this is not the place for you!

The room was very clean and an excellent selection was presented on the breakfast buffet.

I would recommend this for a good, honest, homely stay.
