There's so much missing for a better rating, but since the price is really okay, it should be three stars too. The three stars are barely enough, because the most important thing for me in a hotel is breakfast, and that was just really not good here!! Just a few slices of sausage and cheese wouldn't be enough for three people either. The loaves deserve the grade poorly. It's three-quarters of an hour from Frankfurt by train. Taunustein is a small, mountainous place.

Breakfast was disappointing!

We were there as a couple, with a small dog. The room was surprisingly large for three stars and had everything you need. The facilities are not super modern, but perfectly adequate. The bed is good, the pillows are good, there are toiletries (shower etc.). The room was cleaned up and the staff (the owner?) were always friendly and hospitable. The location is great. 3 minutes to the spa, 5 minutes to the forest to Ruine Königstein, 10 minutes to the forest to Falkenstein, 5 minutes to several supermarkets, 5 minutes to the old town, 45 minutes to the Opel Zoo. 5 minutes to the train station (walking). Parking lots were available. The dog was not allowed to eat breakfast, but we also found the super food to be processed. The clock was fine for two days, but we couldn't even notice it because it was very close to a hotel. This was just a two-hour drive away, and we couldn't even get close enough to the clock.

For a fair in Frankfurt, we got generously sized rooms at a fairly affordable price. It is 4 km to the S-Bahn station in Bad Soden, where we parked the car. The entrance area with seating facilities is comfortable, a sauna is in the house. Parking is free and the centre of Königstein with restaurants and shops is just a few minutes' walk away.

Cheap not far from Frankfurt

Königstein is located near the financial metropole Frankfurt on the thickly wooded slopes of the Taunus in Hesse, Germany. You arrive after only 35 mins ride by local train in a nice little medieval town with half-timbered houses and a view on the fortress Königstein.

The hotel offers quiet nights for a good sleep in the Taunus region and a nice breakfast buffet. The room was well equipped, clean and comfortable.

Quiet and nice location

This hotel is the only hotel located in the middle of town, has LOTS of parking and offers a very nice breakfast buffet.  The staff is multi-lingual, and is very accommodating and helpful. The rooms are bright, have all the modern amenities and VERY comfortable beds.  Nice views over the valley from our Superior Double room.

Clean, modern and great location

The most serious drawback of the hotel is the absence of lift. I had only a reasonable number of stairs to climb to go to my room, at the second and last floor. I had a problem which was rather quickly solved, after two visits of the management: defective heating. Except for the above I have only favorable remarks about this place: efficient service, good breakfast (not a luxury one but the brown bread was excellent), possibility of reading in bed and elsewhere due to generous lighting, good TV with many channels, proximity to the railway station AND quiet rooms, moderate prices 
(91 euros inclusive of breakfast, this is what I paid), room and bathroom spacious 
and very clean, bed comfortable. I left the hotel at 7.40 after breakfast and was able to check out in a couple of minutes. Strongly recommended.

In its category the best hotel of this charming town

We stayed at the hotel for over a weekend. We were very friendly. Our room was large, comfortable and comfortable. There was enough parking. The hotel is very centrally located in the city center. Breakfast on Sunday was sufficient and in size according to the usual 3* standard.

Comfortable hotel located in the centre

Because I had an early appointment, I decided to travel the night before and spend the night at the hotel. Since I was relatively late, I had some trouble finding a suitable accommodation. Relatively quickly I then came across the hotel Königshof. The price was  compared to the other hotels in the area  very humane, plus breakfast and a parking space included. Actually, everything went well: the service was good, although the rooms were a little older but not inhabited, the parking space right in front of the door, the location relatively central to the city centre , the breakfast was sufficient and very tasty, the bathroom was modern and very tasty, the water from the room was absolutely affordable, etc. But the single bed  was so uncomfortable but the bed was a very large one  weaving a lot of things, but in fact, I didn't think that anything would go well at any time, even though I didn't really think about it, and I didn't think about it, but I didn't think about it.

Nice hotel in a very central location

Nice hotel but problem was no evening meal near by after we arrived at the Frankfurt Airport on Sunday.  Tried to find a place to eat but none except ice cream sundae due to passed business hours. This hotel had some snacks at the front desk but nothing for us to eat because of these junk food packages.  
No meal or beverage serving excepted for the breakfast daily. 
Hotel was nearby to the Rail station was our big benefit for us. 


Adventure 

It's always a little confusing how cool our German friends are when they realize you don't speak their language, but with English everything ends up settling down.
