Steal money from us. We paid and they decided to cancel the booking and gave us 10$ less, while they decided to cancel. Their process is done for stealing money.. The guy at the reception speaks english just when he wants, and not bothering others

STEAL MONEY FROM GUESTS

Arrived and checked in with friendly host which gave us a mini tour around the building which was helpful. Having access to the pool and spa was a great feature and was relaxing after spending the day inside the city centre. However no doors on the showers which was interesting and the Wifi didn’t work upstairs in the room, was very slow too compared to potential speeds in 2022. Located in a nice area for walks but a relatively far walk from the Hbf. In general the building was clean and rooms were top including the bathroom and the sink area.
Would come again!!

Nice location and Clean!!

This hotel is a youth hostel with dormitories and a few family rooms. A kitchen is available. In the garden there is a swimming pool, sauna and a hammam, but shirt is prohibited, this space is naturalistic and this is not mentioned when booking and this can be embarrassing for some people. Freiburg is nearby and can be reached on foot or by tram.

Close to Freiburg

I stayed 2 nights in the 9 bed dorm. It was a lovely comfortable bed and the mattress was perfect for my bad back. The room was sufficiently airy with open windows which secured a good nights sleep. The hostel is a 10 minuets walk from shops and bar etc. The hostel itself serves only vegetarian options. In the building itself they serve local beers for €2 per bottle which I enjoyed very much. The showers are indeed unisex containing approx 8 cubicles HOWEVER they are sufficiently private as each stall (apart from two stalls) have fully enclosed doors maintaining shy guests dignity. The optional spa is further through a door from the shower room and is “without clothes” and contains an outside pool and 2 saunas , a steam room and a couple of rainfall style showers. The entire area is within a natural setting and a very pleasant experience as nobody is judging anyone as everyone there is in the same state (undressed) . The staff were extremely helpful and made suggestions on local area activities etc and also there is a FREE bike rental service station at the entrance to the property allowing ease of exploration around the local area. Fully recommended and fantastic value for money.

For me, being a big FKK fan, the best hostel I've ever found

Really loved our stay at this cosy hostel in Freiburg during our visit to the Black Forest area. The hosts were helpful and accommodated our late check-in. They also helped us with planning out trip around the area (Lake Titisee, Mount Feldberg) and their recommendation were great!

Peace and quiet

English: Rooms are ok, but the management is terrible. The least problem was that the booking was not confirmed despite multiple emails asking for it. The management transferred my luggage to another room in another locker without asking or informing me. The management planned to place a note with a key at the reception. I was, however, lucky enough to return to the hostel during office hours otherwise my personal belongings would have been accessible to everyone all night and I would have found someone in my bed when I returned to the hostel.

Terrible management.

I stayed in a multi-bedroom for three days. Two more days, two guests stayed in the room. On the third day, I was alone. So it's definitely advisable to check in and book directly at the woodland pool.

Holidays and wellness

Rooms are like a real hostel, i.e. shared, but where discretion and cleanliness prevail. The swimming pool, sun loungers and saunas are delicious and the surrounding space is very relaxing. Breakfast is perfect with a low cost (5 euros) The distance from the centre can be filled in a few minutes with a bike which is the best way to experience Freiburg.

Two nights in Freiburg

I found this place by accident while spontaneously looking for a place in Freiburg to stay. Initially the distance from the town center put me off, but it is actually quite accessible from the city center (15 min walk to tram station, tram takes 7 min to city center, runs every 7 min). It is located at the edge of the city, in the forest. 

The place is very clean, the rooms have large windows looking out to the beautiful garden. The quality of sleep would be amazing with the fresh air, if you are lucky and have quiet roommates. It has a spa with 5 types of sauna you can use for free  (the cost of going to the spa itself would have been 18 Euros, so the stay is a good value), a beautiful garden, a small pond... and a small restaurant. Across the street there is also a nice cafe with breakfast and hot meals. The breakfast in the hostel is 5,50 Euro, with unlimited hot beverage and jams, cheeses, a bread basket. 

I originally just booked one night, but the experience is so relaxing that I ended up extending for two more nights. It really is a special experience, and though it is a hostel, I find it a lot more relaxing than a hotel in a similar price range.
